From Þolfr, Þólfr, a contraction of Þórolfr, from Proto-Norse *ᚦᚢᚾᚱᚨᚹᚢᛚᚠᚨᛉ (*þunrawulfaʀ), from *Þunraz (thunder) +‎ *wulfaz (wolf). Doublet of Torolv and Torulv.
