Question: when to use the etymological language code sa-bhs
(Buddhist Hybrid Sanskrit) and when to use just "Sanskrit"? What if the "source" text is unknown?

Ill-constructed non-Sanskrit

- चतुर्भूमि (caturbhūmi, “having four grounds”, bahuvrihi compound) - the game of baseball or softball.
- पञ्चाङ्ग (pañcāṅga, “having five arms”) - the game of xiangqi, with infantry, chariotry, cavalry, elephantry, and artillery. Cf. चतुरङ्ग (caturaṅga).
- एकोनविंशतिवर्गतीर्थ (ekonaviṃśativargatīrtha, “having nineteen-by-nineteen passages”) - the game of go.
- महाजङ्गाल (mahājaṅgāla, literally “big raised-enclosure; great dyke around a field”) - mahjong, phono-semantic matching of 麻將/麻将 (májiàng). However, जङ्गाल (jaṅgāla) may have been a dictionary-only word.
