[edit]embedding effect (plural embedding effects)
- (economics) The inconsistency in the value of a specific public good by using a contingent valuation or willingness-to-pay method due to the difficulty for individuals to identify the particular value that they attach to one particular thing which is embedded in a collection of similar things; these resulting problems are called the part-whole bias and sequencing and nesting.
