[edit]Has the form of a perfect passive participle from an unattested verb *viridicō from viridis (“green”) + -icō (verb-forming suffix). Compare viridicāns (“greenish”). Or possibly from an unattested adjective *viridicus (from viridis (“green”) + -icus), via viridicus + -ātus (“-ed”).
