Una Healy has made a heartbreaking admission about the Christmas season, as she once again prepares to spend it without her children.
The former Saturdays singer shares two children — Aoife and Tadgh — with her former husband Ben Foden.
The ex-couple’s children are spending Christmas with Ben in the US this year, meaning Una needed to mark the holiday a little sooner than usual.
Sharing a sweet snap from their recent Christmas trip to Cork, Una opened up about the woes that come with co-parenting over the festive season.
Una wrote: ‘This year, we spent our ‘Christmas Day’ in Cork.
‘Every other year for the past few years, we haven’t been able to spend Christmas together, and it’s something I’ll never fully get used to, especially while they’re still so young.
‘I feel for all the other single parents in the same situation this year. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, from mine to yours,’ she added.
Fans of the star were quick to take to the comments, with many sharing her sentiment.
‘You are making the best for the children in a situation that’s difficult for you, well done Una. Much love,’ one user wrote.
‘I feel you but at least you’re consistent and always there for them, have a lovely Christmas my friend xxx,’ another added.
‘I feel you. It’s only a day, that’s all I can say… Hope you had a lovely time with your gorgeous gang,’ a third penned.
Aoife Belle and Tadhg have jetted over to America to spend Christmas with their dad, who lives in the US with his wife Jackie and two children Farrah and Olympia.
