Welcome to the 2025 Granite State District Event!

The GSD planning committee is elated to host 37 teams from New Hampshire, Massachusetts,, and Rhode Island at Salem High School here in Salem, New Hampshire.  Home to extensive granite formations, the White Mountains, and the birthplace of FIRST Robotics, New Hampshire is a wonderful setting to showcase the tenets of the FIRST program. Our committee has been working hard to bring you a safe and fun-filled weekend of intense robot competition with this year's ocean inspired season, and we can't wait to see what you have created!

You can read more about the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) and the 2024-2025 season (Reefscape) below.

TEAMS: You will also find lots of information specific to the GSD District Event in this collection of webpages. Please use these resources as references for our competition and your visit to Salem.

Please remind visitors attending the event that they must wear closed-toe & closed-back shoes AND safety glasses when visiting the pits. If you or your team has extra safety glasses, consider bringing them for visitors or the general public! Extra safety glasses can also be found at the Pit Administration table.

Children under the age of twelve (12) must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

There is absolutely no food or drinks, except water, allowed in the gym or the performing arts center, per the school’s rules.

Please remember to stay within the designated open areas in the building and not venture into curtained- or roped-off areas.

All parties should be informed that robots have the "right of way” in our pits, and that being aware of your surroundings at all times is critically important.

As always, if you are sick or not feeling well, please stay home and take care of yourself!

FIRST Robotics Competition

Combining the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology.

"We call FIRST Robotics Competition the ultimate Sport for the Mind. High-school student participants call it 'the hardest fun you’ll ever have.'

Under strict rules, limited time and resources, teams of students are challenged to raise funds, design a team 'brand,' hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team. "(via FIRSTInspires.org)

Reefscape: 2024 - 2025 Season

The ocean is more than what you can see on the horizon. Beneath the surface lies our planet’s most complex ecosystems, full of life and potential for exploration and learning, where each inhabitant has a role to play in building a thriving environment.

During the 2024-2025 FIRST season, FIRST® DIVE℠ presented by Qualcomm, teams will use their STEM and collaboration skills to explore life beneath the surface of the ocean. Along the way, we’ll uncover the potential in each of us to strengthen our community and innovate for a better world with healthy oceans. Join us as we explore the future.
