Yeah, there is just one scene towards the beginning with burning eggs, the smoke came on, and then wouldn't stop for the next 25 minutes! (Every minute or so it would re-up)... I did get a re-admit pass cuz it was too much, I had to leave the theater at one point cuz it was just too much smoke. Of course I'm on the east coast, so outside was smoky as hell too!
But yeah, as for the wallet, I was incredibly happy I got the wallet with all my cards still there, so I just chalk it up as a $100 mistake on my part for not checking my pockets after all that intense jerkyness from the seats. As for the 3D, I thought it was pretty decent, nothing spectacular, but I did have an extra layer of smoke for a while! |

Yeah my local Paragon IMAX doesn't have any 3D showing's of this. Think I'm going to my closer Cinemark to see it today. I'm not really impressed by their XD screen either, the one in Boca is def bigger there. Just wondering if the 3D is worth the $4+ premium over the 2D showing.

This was pretty good. My complaints with the final battle still being set in bum-f nowhere still stands. But it was pretty decent.

3/5 I didnt mind this one. I thought it moved at a nice pace and was never really bored. My issues though are going to sound familiar but the human characters are so blahh. The whole brother angle felt forced and unnatural and I just didnt buy into it, the less than stellar dialog is probably the reason Not the actors. The female lead was also my least favorite part, not because of the actress, but because the way she was written. How do you go from a great written girl in Bumbebee to how she or any of the humans are written actually. In all fairness a few of the Bay films had it worse so I can forgive it here. The action had a good variety and the cgi was really good. I have to disagree with certain people saying the action is better and better shot than some of Bays. I NEVER had any issues following Bays action. Plus the biggest difference is that Michael Bay shoots on location so the backgrounds are always real and he uses lots of practical explosions and vehicles and the only cgi is really the transfomers. It makes the action more realistic and hits harder. Here the entire 3rd act was all cgi, no real location. It didnt take away from my enjoyment, just saying I prefer real locations.
Bumblebee (The cybertron scenes are still my fav transformers stuff) Tranformers (still the best overall one. One of the first full blown, citywide action battles) Dark of the moon (Battle of chicago is a masterpiece of action) Rise of the beasts (fun but flawed) Age of extinction (overlong but decent and the farm house action scenes are amazing) Revenge of the fallen (too dumb and incoherent but the opening action scene and forrest fight are awesome) Last Knight (just bad) Last edited by jeff BD; 06-09-2023 at 05:46 PM. |

Had a good time watching this, but I must admit, it's already left me not even 3 hours after finishing it. Not that I was expecting Shakespearean prose but the script being as simple and generic as it was made it leave no impact on me (which wasn't the case for me with Bumblebee).
Still, it's a damn good time for cool Transformers action, which at the end of the day is what you go to these for. |

I enjoyed the Maximal cast in this (even if most of the dialog was from Primal and Airrazor). It makes me want a proper Beast Wars movie now. Doubt we'd get one.
If we do get a sequel (or crossover) I want Megatron/Soundwave/Starscream back and well written. The Decepticon/Terrorcon characters in BB and ROTB were so much better than what we got in the Bay films, it's time to bring justice to the OG villains. If a crossover is next, [Show spoiler] This was the first TF movie that didn't make me want to buy toys afterwards. Maybe it's because the current toyline for this film looks bad and is aimed at little kids. I barely seen any Studio Series stuff in stores right now - but even then, the SS figure for Mirage looks nothing like what was on screen. |

Yeah, boy! This is how I like my movies.
![]() I headed to the movie theater today for the earliest screening available and had the whole hall for myself and the large soda, bag of Doritos Nacho Cheese and chocolate sticks I ordered. Generally, nobody in my area goes to the screenings before 3:00 P.M., so I had to experience the ethereal feeling of being all by myself at the best and largest screen of my local venue, no distractions at all, my cell phone off, as I stayed put on my seat in the smack center of the hall, hypnotized as I munched on my snacks and watched the chaos unfold. I took some time to clean up after myself credits rolled and delivered the tray back to the snacks counter on my way out. What would I give to do it all over again, and bring my friends over for the next time. |

It isn't anything exciting.
[Show spoiler] . It's more about tying up a loose end considering that we didn't know what happened to the character after he combined with Noah. The before-credit scene (but before the "I am Optimus Prime" monologue bit) involves [Show spoiler]
