Haha, to be fair, I was very convinced nothing would convince them otherwise. Had basically no hope and am glad to have been wrong about it. Can you blame me based on how Japanese copyright law is otherwise so utterly dogmatic? This is definitely an "exception and not the rule" scenario here.

I'll probably just grab Fatal Frame for now. A light January to make up for a heavy December. In fact I'll probably just wait until the January title is in stock before I order the December ones since I'm still not conformable pre-ordering with CR.

So where is the best place to order Discotek stuff from now that Rightstuf is dead? Amazon seems to sell everything at MSRP.

I had no idea they made a Fatal Frame movie. Which game is it based on?

Options are pretty limited with RightStuf's closure. Robert's Anime Corner Store, Crunchyroll store and Amazon are pretty much all there is aside from third-parties. Diabolik expressed interest in specific titles IIRC, but they are not a Discotek partner and will not carry their entire library. Hopefully Discotek will reopen their old store (or ebay store) as I would like to support them directly, even if it means paying more. It's Amazon or nothing for me at this point as I'd rather not support RACS and their "questionable" business practices. I do not as of yet trust Crunchyroll for fulfillment, though my opinion may change in due time.

It's based on the original novel the games were based on, so it deviates quite a lot from the games themselves.

Edit: Lol was wrong about this actually, it's based on a novel that is loosely based on the games, so it changes a lot of aspects from them and doesn't really follow any one game faithfully, it's its own thing.
