Question Crimson Tide

I just got the Blu-Ray of "C.T." - one of my fav Sub films of all time. I previously had the "Unrated Extended Edition" on DVD running 123 Minutes. The Blu Ray clocks in at 116 Minutes...so....I guess the Blu Ray isn't the "U.E.E." right? And does anyone know what scenes were "extended" and/or "unrated"

Thanks

There's 7 extra minutes of them talking about the stupid horses.

Just wanted to post a warning or update on the current blu-ray of this out on the market. I purchased this new on Amazon and considering it's a Disney title who knows if or when a 4K edition will ever happen and it seems the blu-ray is getting harder to find. This was a blind buy for me, I've always heard great things so I wanted a copy. What the Amazon listing does not say is that Mill Creek has re-issued this in almost exact packaging as the original release.

There appears to be some sort of gloss or reflective type paper insert on the original release, that is missing here and the back of the cover is slightly altered, but if you did not know the differences you would not know this was a Mill Creek release. The only mention of Mill Creek is their logo very small on the back cover in the bottom right corner and on the disc itself.

The back cover of the original Disney release has "2008 Blu-Ray Release" at the bottom of the back cover on the right side, Mill Creek has even replicated that, but instead it says "2023 Blu-Ray Release." I avoid Mill Creek at all costs because I think they do a sh*t job, so needless to say I was not pleased to get this in the mail instead of the original Disney edition which I was led to believe I would be receiving. Also, shame on Mill Creek for replicating the original packaging to possibly attempt to fool customers, but then again I do realize it could be in their contract that they cannot change the packaging or art, but either way I did not want a Mill Creek product.

It appears they did retain the special features from the original release, but I have not put the disc in my player yet.

The studio took some deleted scenes and stuck them back into Crimson Tide, Con Air and Enemy of the State so they could rerelease the DVDs and sell as unrated extended editions. This wasn't anything the directors wanted, it was a marketing ploy. So you're not missing anything.

And I just noticed this was an old thread that was bumped and you're not even on here anymore.
