With the amount of R&D Dave and Patrick put into these TWO items, I think the pricing is more than fair. How many companies continue to design and develop NEW as well as USEFUL items for a 20+ year old platform? Not many. This project right here is why companies like DVS and Wits End are assets to our community. I know where my dollars will be spent this holiday season.

@Delta VS please keep me on the list for a Brown one once you get the powdercoating right. THANKS!

also, if the Tuffy fits with the stock shifter console, it will fit with our shifter console. Both the shifter and center consoles are direct replacements that can be bolted in individually (our center works with stock shifter, our shifter works with stock center). Hope that clarifies?
Yes thanks. Tuffy WITH front cupholders (and seat flip) requires cutting into shifter console. Which is why your cupholder is of interest...

Not everyone drives an 80 because cheap old beater examples can still be found. Some consider it the ideal platform to build a long-term dream rig and spend accordingly.

Of course if I die, don't let my wife sell it for how much I told her it cost :hillbilly:

I could not agree more with this statement!

Very impressive. I would also be in the market for a brown set. Any ideas on other brown colors that might more closely resemble the factory brown? Thanks and great work guys!

Working on a better brown

Its a beautiful box/design and mabey a few can afford it but the price is...well...ummm....this is why we wanted a "stripped model" version without all the bells and whistles we dont need and want to cover and paint ourselves...probably just me though...congrats on getting it done and available as promised ;)

Thanks for appreciating it for what it is!

Those prices are for all the “stripped” components in an effort to keep costs down. People can get only what they want/need/fits their budget and add things on over time.

There really isn’t much to be saved by not coating it either, that is just one of the many small costs that add up to a complete product.

If cost is the issue, Tuffy is the answer.

Great looking product!!! ANYBODY that has made any kind of console out of metal or glass etc knows full well the amount of time and effort it takes just to get a working prototype. Then to take it to production, a whole other level. Kudos guys, it's companies like you that will keep well sorted Land Cruisers around and useful for years to come.

FWIW, I just got my 80 series DVS rear bumper with swing outs and the engineering, design and craftsmanship are honestly the best of any accessory I've ever purchased. It is truly next level stuff.
