I'm a regular participant in the Digital Photography Photo of the Day Thread. However....I wonder if I start a bunch of threads in the Digital Photography section showing Smaug in all his squirrely glory, Alfred in his splendid Great Blue Heron elegance and the cute little sparrows doing their thing on my deck, oh, and let's not forget a thread with a series of macro/tabletop/artsy-fartsy whatever types of images, too, if that would magically accelerate my post count beyond its usual norm and of course elevate my status on here?! :D. :D. :D. :D

Oh, but I still would be so far away from catching up to Doctor Q and AFB, never mind anyone else at the pinnacle of post count history.....

And another oh.....this IS a technical forum devoted to Apple and its products, isn't it? Guess I'd better gear up to address the coming challenges over the next few months with new iPhones, iPads and Macs!

I don’t follow. Can you express those numbers in a line graph? :)
Here you go! ;)

Lol..

0*0=0
I think you mean 0*2=0. Doubling chown33's salary at least sounds good.

Now why do we have to settle for static graphs based on snapshots of posting data? Why not live, animated graphs that update themselves automatically as time progresses? It might take a tiny bit more work, but it would have to be done only once!

I have to say that I really rather like the current system whereby the stats are released on a biannual basis; in some strange way, it marks the passing of time in the MR world.

Yeah, that's what I meant.
With those math skills I might have a future career in the Federal government. :p

I'm sure @AngerDanger is already hard at work on this project.

On a different note, the other day I actually hit the 30,000 posts mark at Nikon Cafe. Wow!!!! In the early days I posted there a lot, both while writing about things and presenting images, but for a period when I wasn't shooting much I didn't post as extensively there; now I'm back to shooting, I am posting there more again. Kind of fun being in the top ten there!

It is a bit fun being in the top 10. I'm on another forum (QuarkXPress forum) that I joined in 2001 where that is the case. Unfortunately, several years of using a competitor's program and other circumstances has rendered me unable to login to that old account.

Most of the users there are transitory. That forum exists for problem solving, so people get their problem solved (or not) and don't come back. So, the group of top posters was a small group and we all knew each other. Unfortunately, with the rise in popularity of InDesign and the fact that everyone had different lives and careers, there's nobody left.

I’ve got a feeling i’ll never post in there again to be honest. It’s more pleasant on here without that section I’ve found.
I have never posted in there. Posts don't count in there and the subject matter is never worth the aggravation because you aren't going to change anyone's mind. I imagine there are some in there with open minds, but for the most part it's a venue for grievances.

If any post of mine is found in there it's because it got moved from some other place.
