Steering wheels sure seem like an important fashion statement.

Here's my 'stock', cobbled together from various donor cars, interior with a wheel recovered by Dallas Custom Steering Wheels. They did a nice job.

Love the color. Can you post side pictures of the car? What color is it?

Wood Steering Wheel

Didn't see anyone in the thread with my Dino Wood Wheel. Thanks to the PO.
I really like the feel of the polished wood if driving for a long time.
Maybe not great if the hands got sweaty but thats not been a problem for me.
On a snap-off coupler more for theft deterence.
(also my custom welding class dead pedal)

These are my two most favorite wheels. I have a montecarlo in my car with black stitching - looks and feels great. (Interesting to see they offer red stitching). I would love if there was a retro, smaller version of the Porsche stock 3-spoke wheel though - that would be cool and buy one in a heart beat.

Someday though, I will reinstall my stock 4 spoke wheel for my 86, re-dye the blue on the leather and stitch it back together. The leather itself is not torn, just lost it's color and the stitching came apart. (I wonder if Dallas could refinish my wheel using the original leather on it, rather than replaceing all the leather - as it will not look the same when redone)

There is a major weight difference between the momo and the stock wheels.

Just installed a Momo Monte Carlo with red stitching. Feels great! Never thought a new wheel could transform the way the car feels so much. 350mm. I don't have too much issue seeing gauges - Speedo is probably the most obscured for me and my vantage point.

Had the entire interior apart a couple weeks ago... so in these pictures I was still putting things back together and installing the new RS panels.

I forgot to ask in my previous post. Is this wheel in leather or vinyl?

I often thought of buying an old Fiat spider wheel with some patina (often come up on ebay) as I believe the old ones are momo and should fit a standard momo adapter.

I saw this wheel online and just had to have it!! It is installed in my '66 912. This car is a great driver, I am gathering parts to convert it to '71 2.2 E with PMO carbs. I can't help it... I was born a hot rod guy and will always be one.
The first picture is how it arrived from Holland. It's a 380 mm slightly dished 1969 dated wheel of Italian origin. So far I am unable to identify the manufacturer, it has crossed flags on the center spoke. The left flag is checkered, the right has horizontal markings. The bolt pattern is slightly larger than momo, I bought the solid hub with the wheel and modified my momo horn ring retainer to fit the hub.

This shot is after I scotchbrighted it, the polished spokes were too reflective and showed fingerprints.
I just love it!! The car is much nicer to drive now that I can see the speedo. The momo that was in the car when I bought it was 350 mm and blocked the speedo between 50 and 70 mph. I may cover the rim in leather in the future
George

PS... please ignore the fugly DIN chassis radio. I will be removing it soon, I dont even turn the radio on in this car.

My "fatty" three-spoke

So, here is my three-spoke recovered by Dallas Custom Steering Wheel.

I really like the way it looks and feels. Plus it is the factory-extended hub kind, so I don't have to do the monkey-arm business.
