Global HusseinAugust 23, 2014I love this station. No rush nor stress. People here are very nice. It needs a fast food restauant.
Refurb is all done and an excellent improvement... A choice of waiting rooms... Refreshments... A nice open plan style means you can see the trains or friends arriving from the entrance.

When travelling to Cardiff on the Intercity, get on coach E. It stops opposite the stairs going down to the station and you can beat the rest of your fellow travellers to the ticket barriers

Cheaper to get food and drink outside at the Nisa rather than WHSmith or Costa 👍
Get here as late as you can before your train is due as it's a grim place to spend even a minute of your life. Then pray your train is on time (which it won't be!).- I could smell the sea air as soon as I stepped off the train. The station has improved over the years.
The station is looking so much better since the renovation works, far brighter and cleaner! There's finally a cashpoint inside too!- Massive improvement to station since last time I came! Great little Costa in the corner!

There are two entrances now. One on the side of the building, next to the taxi bays.
John PuttApril 19, 2012This station does have a nice feel to it. The Cost Coffee shop is very clean.- A well-run station generally! Check out the special offers in WH Smith and grab a light lunch at the café.
This station is transformed. Really quite a nice place now. Could do with a proper greasy spoon joint though - Costa is just bland chain tripe.

The Costa here isn't up to scratch in terms of customer service. Pain au raisin was stone cold, just like the service!

Joanna EvansSeptember 23, 2011This place is like a building site at the moment, nowhere to get a coffee, and the shop is expensive. Buy snacks in the shop opposite, at least they don't charge £1 for a bag of crisps.- The station is showing signs of its re-emergence in art-deco style
