We really need to think hard before proceeding to build these hugely expensive ships. In an era of ubiquitous satellites and hypersonic missiles as well as swarms of cheap drones Aircraft carriers may no longer be practical. If so, would we be better served by more smaller and cheaper V/STOL platforms?

Let’s not give them any ideas now.

Just no. No United States ship, base, post office, etc. should be named after a living person. Enough of treating our politicians like high royalty.

In the old days capital ships were named after the states. Let’s go back to that system when naming the fleet aircraft carriers.

(Ballistic missile submarines are currently named after the states. Why not the fleet aircraft carriers, too? There are plenty of states to go around.)

Seems like I heard some unsubstantiated rumors about the Clinton Foundation and Haitian children.

Clinton foundation members were caught trying to remove children from Haiti, got arrested, and everything got swept under the rug.

Better to secure large Islands [like Taiwan] than to build more carriers.
