There’s just enough magic to keep it interesting, though I would’ve liked to have known more about Jonathan being a sprite. It was mentioned, accepted by all he told, and that was that.
I only had two issues with the story. One of those being how it was told solely in Jonathan's point-of-view. I wanted to be inside Forrest's head. Honestly, Forrest was the more interesting of the two. Jonathan's back and forth in his head about Forrest got tiring. Even so, they (eventually) worked together as a couple. As for the second thing, I can't really say what it is without giving a bit of a spoiler. Let's just say the ending is HFN - though the reader knows they'll have a nice HEA - and leave it at that.
I would've also liked to have seen more couple time between these two guys. There's a slow burn and there's S U P E R slow burn. Merry & Sprite definitely falls into the latter category.

I absolutely loved this book. I've read a lot of Daddy kink, but All Dolled Up is totally different from any of the others I've read. I'm all about age gaps, and there's a substantial one between Rene and Edward. I love humor. Sam, the front desk clerk at the hotel and Rene's new friend, is a blast. I love when things click, come together, for couples. It does that perfectly here. Edward's the perfect Daddy, though he never knew he was one until Rene came into his world. Rene is the perfect boy, letting his Daddy take away all his worries. It's also an amazing love story with hot as hell sex scenes.
Great book. My first by the author. It definitely won't be the last.
P.S. Somebody please tell me Sam has his own story or will at some point. If anybody deserves a Daddy or two, it's Sam.

I loved this book. It had me laughing from the first page. All the characters are funny, even Hudson with his corny dad jokes. I can understand why a lot of folks thought Rory's snarkiness was too much. He turned almost everything into a joke. In my opinion, that was his defense mechanism kicking in during the times he was once again told to lose weight, or he was being used to get to his best friend, Bell.
Hudson and Rory are as different as night and day, but they're perfect together.
I loved both Law and Andy. Law was patient and kind. Andy was hilarious even when he wasn’t trying to be. I even liked Falcon to an extent. 4.5 stars.
I loved both Law and Andy. Law was patient and kind. Andy was hilarious even when he wasn’t trying to be. I even liked Falcon to an extent. I felt that he was a bit oblivious when it came to Andy a few times but I never saw him as leading him on or anything. Andy was simply his friend. I actually like how things came together for Law and Andy because it didn’t leave me hating Falcon. It actually had me smiling a bit.
The story line was quite predictable - guy wants best friend so he enlists somebody else to help him get him - but it was still an entertaining read.

It starts with a breakup, then a drunken meeting at a bar, and a bathroom remodel.
Ren has just been dumped by his boyfriend of five years. His best friend thinks the best thing for that is to have a rebound fling. He meets the guy he wants that fling with pretty quickly but he's too drunk to act on it. It's six months before he sees him again. When he does, sparks fly in a big way. It's just a one-night-stand, nothing more. No names are exchanged, no personal details. Imagine Ren's surprise when the contractor he hires to renovate his bathroom - that would be Cole - is none other than the gorgeous man who took him hard against the back of his couch not that long ago. ...more

TosTake one immature party boy who only cares about himself. Add an eleven-year-old sister who needs to be cared for after the loss of their parents. Toss in the sister's hot-as-hell math teacher and a slew of drag queens and you get one hell of an interesting book.
And a Period Party.
I can't not mention the Period Party, hosted by Glenn, aka Divina Latrina, Mathew's hilarious best friend.
I admit I lost count of how many times I almost DNF'd this book during the first half. There are selfish party boys and there's Mathew. He's rude, obnoxious, and often crude. He has zero filter and only cares about his own wants and needs. He loves his sister but he doesn't know her that well, having chosen years earlier to be the black sheep of the family. The last thing he wants is to be responsible for her. That would mean adulting. Mathew is not good with adulting.
Then he meets Charlie, his sister's math teacher, who I loved even when I was questioning why he'd want to date Mathew.
This is my first book by Daryl Banner. I admit to picking it up because I needed something funny after the last book I read that had me in tears more often than not. Raising Hell won't be for everybody, that's for sure. If you go to read it, go in with an open mind (and maybe a good stiff drink or four) and try to stick with it to the end. Had I stopped reading the many times I wanted to I'd have missed a good story.

Joanna is the ultimate bad ass. Sure, she’s a serial killer, but our girl has her reasons. She doesn’t just go out and kill at will. She only kills the worst of the worst – child molesters, rapists. On one hand, you know what Joanna is doing is wrong. On the other, you might find yourself cheering her on as she takes out these horrible men one by one.
Be prepared. Joanna’s methods are quite brutal and may bother some.

Jeff Strand is known for his horror, but he damn sure writes 'hilariously naughty' books well. Damn, the sex was better than most M/F books I've read and I've read a lot.
Great book. Great author. I hope he ventures into his erotic humor side again. If so, I'll be one of the first ones to read it.

I'm not going to do a so-called proper review but I will say that I absolutely loved this little story.
A sexy guy, a funny woman, an eccentric matchmaking ghost, and lots of humor. What's not to love?
"How about some tea? I just made a fresh pitcher." "I would love some. You didn't get converted to unsweet tea while you were up there in the North, did you?" Mallory laughed at that. "No. In fact it was this huge bone of contention between me and my ex. He hated sweet tea, he thought it was disgusting and you know I grew up on it so I love it."
And it's set in the South, obviously, where sweet tea is a staple. Or it is in my house anyway. :)
I'll be looking for more by this author for sure....more

I’m going to start this review with a bit of a rant. I’ve read a lot of books that were full of typos. I’ve read some that had so many that I had to read the same sentence several times just to make heads or tails of what I’d just read. But strangely a majority of those weren’t nearly as bad as what I just read in His Mate – Seniors. Improper use of you're and your, too instead of to and vice versa, semicolons in almost every single paragraph… I could go on. This was by far one of the laziest books I’ve ever read in my life and I have read a lot of books. It read like a first draft that hadn’t even been proofread one time. And that’s a shame because the actual story was damn good.
And I’m curious. What’s with the ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ all over the place? I guess they were meant as dividers? I’ve seen them used as dividers in books before so no biggie, but seriously? After almost every paragraph? It made no sense to me. It made the actual text look sloppy.
With all that being said, I actually did like the story. It has a little bit of everything. While it’s a romance between a young (ish) couple there are also a couple of other romances going on in the background, one of which is between seniors. As in, old enough to be in a nursing home seniors. I found that part of the story to be adorable, though the female was beyond annoying with her constant sarcasm.
I’m getting ahead of myself, sorry.
The book starts out with Angela and Dorothy escaping from a nursing home. It’s kind of cute because their banter is hilarious. They don’t really know where they’re going, only that they want out of that place. Once they’re clear they meet a young woman, Sarah, who offers her home to the wayward seniors. Sarah just inherited an old Inn from her Aunt Chloe and she knows the instant she meets Angela and Dorothy that they’ll fit right in at her new home.
Why would a total stranger invite two elderly women to stay with her as soon as they meet? Sarah is a witch and she can tell that Angela and Dorothy are as well. Not long after they move in one of the women has a problem with the plumbing in her bathroom so Sarah calls a plumber. The plumber, Samuel, is a wolf shifter and the witches don’t take too kindly to him for some reason. In fact, the three women are downright rude to the guy. I couldn’t quite figure out why but it worked out because Samuel ended up having to call his alpha, Nathan, because Sarah had slammed the door in his face. With Nathan comes Lark, an elderly wolf shifter, who spots Angela and immediately thinks, Mate! I adored Lark. He was so entertaining even when Angela was being really bitchy.
Lark isn’t the only one thinking, Mate! As soon as Nathan sees Sarah he knows he’s found his as well. The problem with that scenario is that Sarah – like Angela with Lark – doesn’t want to be anybody’s mate, especially a wolf alpha’s.
Then we get to Aunt Chloe and Monty. Monty is an older vampire (I did say the story had a little bit of everything) who turned his own mate, Chloe, into a vamp as well. When Chloe died she was elderly. As a vampire she’s quite young. The problem with Chloe is that being a newbie vamp means she wants blood all the time. This causes a problem with the three witches and Lark and Nathan. Nathan is all about protecting Sarah, though Sarah can take care of herself, thank you very much. Lark wants to protect Angela, who would rather chew nails than have a wolf mate. Dorothy, who’s hilarious, just sits back watching and being entertained.
Sarah and Angela took the ‘I don’t want to be mated to a wolf’ thing too far. When they both decided that it wasn’t such a bad thing it happened entirely too fast. They spent the entire book fighting their guys only to just give in when it came time to bond. That wasn’t in line with what I’d read to that point. The Chloe parts of the book were cute to an extent. She wanted inside the home (the Inn) but couldn’t go in without an invitation and nobody was willing to do an invite until she got her blood lust under control. I’ve read the blurbs for the next two books in the series so I know that’ll be an ongoing thing.
I loved the men in the book – Nathan, Lark, Monty. The women, not so much, with the exception of Dorothy. I hope she finds her own man soon. Unlike Angela, Dorothy isn’t afraid of having sex at her age and has no problem letting everybody know it. She was a treat.
I’m on the fence about reading the next book in the series. I want to see Dorothy find love but I’m not sure how I’ll feel if I have to read page after page of typos like I did this one. I know I’ve really harped on that in this review but if you read the book you’ll know why. I knocked a star and half off my rating because of it. This was a freebie on Amazon. Had I actually paid for the book I’d be really pissed....more
We've seen various versions of the old Dickins classic, but I can assure you that you've not read anything quite like John Inman's retelling. ;) Like the classic, there’s the ghost of Christmas past, present, and future. From a lesbian named Bill, to a mean drag queen, to a hunky muscle guy who has entirely too much fun with a butt plug, E.B. Scrudge (Ebbie) is taken on a ride and forced to face some realities. The question is this… does it help? And will the reader like Ebbie even a little bit before it’s over? Ebbie would never be accused of being a nice guy after all.
Then we have Willie, Ebbie's secretary. You will fall in love with him the minute he's introduced in the story. You'll also wonder why in the world he fell in love with E.B. Scrudge, of all people. This is definitely one of those love is blind situations.
I laughed. I got weepy. I was grinning from ear to ear before it was over.
Fantastic book. I can't recommend it enough.

This story was obviously written in fun, so I knew going in that it wouldn't be something to take seriously. I mean, come on! It's about unicorn sex. *snort*
Liam has just discovered that his longtime boyfriend is cheating. The way he discovered it? He caught him in the act. Not only that, but the other guy was cheating with Liam's best friend. So, what to do? He's stuck at a party around a lot of people and he's just publicly exposed the cheating bastard of a boyfriend and his backstabbing best friend. He texts the one person he knows will come pick him up in the middle of the night without question - Garrett, his childhood unicorn friend.
Garrett shows up and takes care of the cheating ex because he's kind of a bad ass unicorn. He takes Liam home and suddenly our boy Liam is seeing Garrett in a whole new light. Why has he never thought about that sexy unicorn horn of his best bud? He gets aroused now thinking about it. Well, Garrett is invited to dinner with the family a week or so later and Liam and his unicorn go out into the orange grove and get busy. There's more to Garrett the unicorn than just good sex. He has special ejaculate, you see. I can't say more than that. I mean, the story is under 20 Kindle pages and I don't want to tell the entire story.
Highly recommended if you want to laugh a bit while reading about unicorn kink. It should be noted that Garrett isn't a unicorn shifter. Take that how you will.
I will say that the price of $2.99 is a bit ridiculous for such a short book. I was able to download it because I'm enrolled in Kindle Unlimited, but if you're not, I'd only pay that if you're really into unicorn kink. ;)...more

With that being said, Blind Date was totally not what I was expecting. It starts with Pela and Paul on a blind date. Apparently Pela hasn't had the best of luck with men in the past and she's hoping for a little spark with Paul. When Paul (rather rudely) suggests they leave the boring restaurant and go to his place for tea she reluctantly agrees. Of course, no smart woman would just take off with a total stranger like that, would they? Well, I can say that Pela is not the sharpest knife in the drawer and this is proven when she accepts the tea from her blind date at his house. This begins one of the most entertaining short stories I've read in awhile. Pela isn't quite as naive as she appears, and Paul? Well, let's just say that Paul is a bit on the creepy side, but you'll end up liking him before it's over. When Pela's ex makes a sudden appearance at an odd time, things between Paul and Pela take a weird turn. Saying anything more than that will give the story away.
Overall, a nice short. While I wouldn't call it a typical romance, it does have a HEA at the end. Recommended if you don't mind a bit of violence and dark humor....more
