We frequently design custom Bed Bar systems, accessory plates, and other existing product related work. We are a manufacturing shop with custom capabilities.

All HMOR products are proudly manufactured in North Idaho, USA. We do all design, prototyping, fabricating, quality control and shipping in-house. We also use our local in-town partners for laser cuting, forming, and powder coating parts used in our products. We then inspect every single component, reject what doesn’t meet our strict specs and tolerances, and use those parts to finish the goods we bring to you.

We just get busy. We are always working as hard and fast as we can. It’s always worth the wait for quality USA product.

Tim Neil is the founder and President of Heavy Metal Off-Road. He’s the one turning wrenches, designing gear, shipping orders, and answering emails — often all in the same day. Off the clock, you’ll find him rock crawling, racing in the Mountain Mafia “Havoc Race Series,” or headbanging to heavy metal. He’s building this brand out of pure passion for wheeling, metal, and helping others gear up for adventure.🤘

Yes! One person can assemble and install a ROCK-IT Rack in as little as 90 minutes with a single 9/16” socket. Everything necessary comes with your rack system.

These Racks are width adjustable. They can be secured to the OEM bed rails, pinch clamped to the bed skirts, directly to the top of the bed sides with some drilling, or directly to a premium roll-up style bed cover, such as Retrax or Roll ‘n Lock.

Yes! The side panels, side bars, and top runners are able to be interchanged, flipped, or swapped. Rack accessories are available as well.

Weight is distributed across 6 points. As long as the HMOR and OEM load capacity specs are followed, you will be safe and not damage your bed sides.

Yes! One person can install a set of 3 Bed Bars in as little as 15 minutes with a single 9/16” socket. Just drop them in, space them evenly, install hardware and go.

Being vehicle specific, they are secured to the OEM bed mounted T slot rails. All T-slot hardware comes with your rack system. We are currently working on a universal mount system for vehicles without a bed mounted T slot rail system.

Yes! Choose the options available on the specific product page. Weld-on tabs for mounting plates, LED lights, Hi-Lift jack, and dog leash are available. Powder coat is available.

No. Even the tall Bed Bars are incredibly sturdy on their own (we use 4 bolts per bar to secure to the bed.) When a roof top tent (RTT) is installed, it acts as 2 full length connecting bars securing all Bed Bars, especially when our RTT Security Clamps are used. That adds a significant amount of stability to an already stable setup.
