Guyana lies in South America and it is the third smallest country in South America.
In Guyana climate throughout the year is hot and tropical and the temperature does not vary much by seasons. Average rainfall is high throughout the year, as well as the air humidity. The rainy season lasts from December to January and from May to June, and there is no winter and summer in Guyana. The average annual temperature is around 29 ℃. Relative humidity is around 70%. The rainy season in coastal areas lasts from November to January. The warmest months are August and September with the highest temperature around 30 ℃. Much of the country (80%) covers the rainforest (selva). In the coastal part of the country are growing mangrove forests, and the inland is covered with savanna vegetation. Georgetown's climate is hot with high humidity and temperatures are constant. The mean monthly temperature is ranging from 25, 2 ℃ (January) to 26.3 ℃ (July). While in Guyana temperatures are not high, combined with high humidity it can be uncomfortable.
