Ross Jones is the CMA Award-winning Editor-In-Chief of Holler.

Based in London, UK, Ross graduated from Staffordshire University with a bachelors degree in Music Journalism and Broadcasting, before further pursuing a career within the music industry. 

Ross served as a freelance writer for over ten years for a variety of independent and national UK publications, including DIY, So Young, Goldflakepaint and Wax Music. He also served as News Editor for Bristol In Stereo.

Editor of Holler since the platform's launch in December 2020, Ross has overseen the launch of the editorial website, Holler Live Sessions and the Holler Weekly Podcast.

Ross was awarded the CMA Wesley Rose International Media Achievement Award

, a commendation established to recognise outstanding achievements in the media as they relate to Country Music outside of the United States.

As well as fulfilling his role as editor, Ross is a music Journalist, DJ and Podcaster. As a DJ, Ross has performed sets at The Long Road and Citadel Festivals, as well as across a variety of reputable London and Bristol venues. 

As a Podcaster, Ross co-hosts the country music magazine show Strokes of Country on Whynow with Ciara Bains and Holly Smith, where they have interviewed such high profile artists as Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll.

Ross Jones is the CMA Award-winning Editor-In-Chief of Holler, who is based in London, UK.

Maxim is a Country Music Journalist and Holler’s News Editor based in London, UK. 

After gaining a Masters with Merit from the University of Oxford, he wrote 

, which will be published on Mud Pie Books. 

During lockdown, Maxim created the Happiness x Music Project and co-founded Mindful Melody magazine in 2020, both of which explored the intersection between music and wellbeing. H

e’s written for publications such as Country Music People and has served as Music Editor of the Cherwell Newspaper and Phaser Magazine, during which time he set up Phaser’s first podcast series. 

Over the past few years, Maxim has interviewed some of his favourite artists, including Kelsea Ballerini, HARDY, Riley Green, Bailey Zimmerman, Midland, Ernest, Molly Tuttle and more. 

Since joining Holler towards the end of 2022, he has expanded the news output and introduced new article formats such as Lyrics & Meaning pieces, Exclusive Q&As and Album Hub Pages. 

Maxim enjoys staying on the pulse of the latest releases, and is a country aficionado and avid listener of anything by Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson, George Strait, Florida Georgia Line, Niko Moon, Megan Moroney and Zach Bryan, as well as keenly covering Post Malone’s transition into country music. 

Above all, Maxim considers himself Kenny Chesney’s No. 1 fan.

Maxim is Holler’s News Editor based in London, UK. He’s also the co-founder of a music and wellbeing magazine, and considers himself Kenny Chesney’s No. 1 fan.

Jof Owen is the New Music Editor at Holler. Now based in East London, he was born and raised in the English countryside in the small Buckinghamshire village of Wendover, and graduated from Winchester University with a BA honours degree in Contemporary Cultural Studies.

He is perhaps best known for being the singer in the indie pop band The Boy Least Likely To, who he formed with Peter Hobbs in 2003. They released their debut album, 

, in 2005 to widespread critical acclaim, earning spots in both Pitchfork’s Top 50 albums and in the Rough Trade Shop top 10 of that year.

Their song ‘Be Gentle With Me’ became one of those breakthrough songs that lent itself to a myriad of contexts with a video starring Rashida Jones. Their songs featured in everything from Greys Anatomy to Juno, from Coca Cola to car adverts. 

They were one of the last wave of mid-noughties indie bands who could happily play the Pitchfork stage at SXSW and appear on KEXP at the same time as enjoying mainstream success back home, with appearances on Popworld, GMTV and the Smash Hits Poll Winners Party.

, resonated just as quickly as the first, with ‘Stringing Up Conkers’ featuring in an Apple iPhone advert and ‘When Life Gives Me Lemons’ on the soundtrack to the hit Emma Stone movie, Easy A and more recently the Peter Rabbit movie.

Jof Owen formed the band Legends Of Country in 2015, inspired by his long standing love of country music and growing up watching 

 and listening to Johnny Cash and Marty Robbins. They have released two albums, 

As well as The Boy Least Likely To and Legends Of Country, he is also one half of the indie pop duo Bubble & Squeak with Poppy Hankin from Girl Ray.

Alongside singing and songwriting, Jof Owen has also written about country music for Holler, The Line Of Best Fit and Riposte magazine, as well as having a monthly fears column in Rough Trade Shops magazine. He has appeared as a guest on the Sentimental Garbage podcast with Caroline O’Donoghue talking about Twee, Gilmore Girls and Shania Twain. He also works for Thirty Tigers.

David Jacobs is the co-founder of Holler, based in London, UK. In 2020, David formed Holler with Olivier Zucker and Baylen Leonard, with a view to create a beautifully presented digital platform for the passionate global community of Country, Americana and Roots Music lovers.

He is responsible for all things technical and has designed and built Holler's infrastructure from the ground up. Since inception, the goal has been to make Country music accessible to anyone who loves great music and great musicianship.  David is based in London, UK and is CTO of Holler.

Alex is the Head of Sales for Holler, working directly with labels, managers and artists to secure advertising placements on the website. She also oversees all sponsorship initiatives for the Holler Live Sessions, festival coverage and other unique activations and events.


With over nine years of experience interning at Bold Gold Media’s WDNB and Jerry Duncan Promotions, Alex spent nearly six years as the Chart Director and Sales Manager for music trade publication 

Magazine. She’s since transitioned to work with 

 and music software company DISCO. In 2024, she launched her own sales consulting firm, Stella Sales Solutions, working full-time with both 

 to provide services such as sales coaching, lead sourcing and employee hiring for small businesses.
