The North Face Purple Label Unveils Functional and Familiar FW23 Collection
Featuring an array of hooded jackets, heavy sweaters, vests and more.
The North Face Purple, a joint venture between The North Face and Japanese brand nanamica, continues to provide practical yet purposeful pieces based on classic North Face silhouettes. For its Autumn/Winter 2023 collection, the collaborative label serves up a slew of outerwear options alongside a range of outdoor-appropriate tops, bottoms and accessories, all of which are ideal for layering.
In the lookbook, models are shot across outdoor urban settings, exemplifying the practicality of the forthcoming collection. Across the board, eco-friendly materials are used to intentionally reimagine each North Face-inspired design with a more modernized and gender-transcending approach.
At the forefront of the collection is the array of statement jackets. Some models don cozy fleece jackets, while others go for baggier denim looks. Specifically, the signature North Face 65/35 Field Down Coat and Wool Windstopper Field Coat are reworked to better equip buyers for chilly and unpredictable weather conditions.
Layering comes easily with this collection, as models comfortably throw hooded jackets atop heavy sweaters and vests. Alongside outerwear, the Button Down Plaid Field Dress and Denim Field Pants are standout pieces, too. Accessories, meanwhile, include the Stroll Utility Case, Merino Socks, Medium Day Pack and Chino Cap.
A release date has yet to be announced, but the collection is likely to drop on nanamica’s webstore in the coming months. As of now, the release is exclusive to Japan, though it may expand globally following the initial drop. Check out the lookbook in the gallery above.
