Peter Ferdinand Drucker (19 November 1909 – 11 November 2005) adalah seorang penulis, konsultan manajemen, dan "ekolog sosial."[1] Ia sering disebut sebagai bapak "manajamen modern." Ratusan artikel ilmiah dan populer serta 39 bukunya menjelaskan bagaimana manusia diorganisir pada setiap sektor masyarakat—bisnis, pemerintah, maupun organisasi non-profit.[2] Tulisan-tulisannya juga berhasil memprediksi berbagai peristiwa yang terjadi pada abad ke-20 seperti privatisasi dan desentralisasi; kebangkitan Jepang sebagai kekuatan ekonomi dunia; peran pemasaran yang semakin meningkat; dan kebutuhan akan sebuah masyarakat informasi.[3] Pada tahun 1959, Drucker memperkenalkan istilah "Pekerja pikiran" (knowledge worker).”[4]
