Book Return

Books can be returned to Book return Box's located at the University gates or library entrance.
Return boxes are available during library opening hours, and at the main University Gate (Rager st.) 24/7.
After return a confirmation email will be sent.
For most books at the University Library, automatic renewals apply. If there are no reservations on the books you've borrowed, the loan is automatically renewed for a new period as soon as the loan period expires.

As the Academic year starts, on November 3rd, the Library opening hours will be extended:

Circulation and reference services are available in all the reading rooms.

Update in the Remote Access system

The library's remote access system for online resources was updated at October 30th, 2023.

*There is no change from the previous method. Log in to the library catalogue, locate the database/book/article, and identify yourself with an organizational username and password.

* If a database doesn't open - If it is stored on your computer in Bookmarks, delete and resave with the new address (locate the database through the library catalog).

* If you use the ezproxy redirect plugin, please delete and save it again. For instructions.

* If you have the "Zotero" plugin clear the old address (ezproxy) in the "proxies" option.

* It is advised to download the LIBKEY plugin for easier full text downloads.

* If you encounter a problem it is recommended to clear your "cookies" history in the browser (go to "settings" and clear the "all time" browsing data.

* When abroad with limited access to the University homepage - login via

primo.bgu.ac.il
From there you will be able to search the library catalog for databases, journals, articles etc. Identification will be required (BGU username and password). Entering the library card and ordering digitization's from the library collection is also available.
