Admitted First-Year Students
Within 2 to 3 business days of paying your enrollment deposit, you should be able to activate your student account through the Student Account Generator. Transcripts must be received directly from your school(s) via one of the following methods:
- Through an electronic transcript delivery service such as Parchment
- Hand-delivered to the Office of Admissions in an envelope sealed by your school
High school transcripts are not considered final unless a graduation date is listed.
If you have earned college credit, while in high school, you must also request a final transcript from the college(s) you have attended.

All Marymount students must submit the Student Health Information Packet via email to Student Health Services at [email protected]. This documentation provides proof of compliance with immunization requirements mandated by the Commonwealth of Virginia and Marymount University.
Marymount University also requires that all full-time students carry adequate health insurance. Students will have the opportunity to opt out of the Marymount University-sponsored United Health Insurance plan. The waiver may only be submitted online starting in June.
The enrollment deposit secures your spot in the upcoming class at Marymount University. Sponsored students are required to pay the enrollment deposit. Sponsored students may arrange with their sponsor if they are eligible for reimbursement after obtaining a financial guarantee.

All international students who require a visa to study at MU are issued a Form I-20. The Form I-20 is needed to apply for their F1 Student Visa.
Within 2-3 business days of activating your MU account, you should receive an email invitation with further instructions on how to access the International Student & Scholar Services Portal (ISSS Portal). This portal is where you will upload your documents to be issued a Form I-20. For more information, please visit this page.
Registration for New Student Orientation for incoming students to the Fall becomes available in April. Winter Orientation Registration becomes available in November. You will receive more specific information via email. For more information visit the New Student Orientation website.
All incoming undergraduate international students are required to attend the International Student Session as part of their New Student Orientation program.
The DSP is not an exam rather an online placement test that helps your advisor to register you for your first semester of classes at Marymount University. This step is required prior to being able to register for your first semester of classes. All incoming students will have the opportunity to meet with their academic advisor and register for classes during New Student Orientation.
All new undergraduate students on F-1 visas must complete a mandatory immigration check-in with the ISSS Office. This is an important part in maintaining your international student status. You will complete this process during the International Student Session of New Student Orientation. For more information, please visit the International Student & Scholar Services website.
Official transcripts from all previously attended schools. Where appropriate, include official results and certificates of completion from national secondary school examinations such as GCSE/GCE and WAEC. Certified English translations must be submitted for any transcripts not already in English.
Documents such as transcripts and test scores must be received directly from the issuing institution/test center to be considered official for admission consideration, and will not be accepted if submitted by the applicant.
