Precision Timber are a family-run company which specialises in designing bespoke settings, quality and sustainable resources, landscaping and surfacing for schools and nurseries throughout the UK.

Our core aims are to engage, inspire and create open-ended opportunities for children to express themselves freely. We believe the natural outdoor environment is a key factor in igniting this.

We pride ourselves of allowing children to be leaders of their own play and creative development through individually tailoring each playground to meet the needs of the client.

We understand that every school and every child is different, and one size does not fit all!

We are committed in providing quality, longevity and durable products which will withhold endless play.

Our play equipment is suitable for all abilities and ages including Nursery, EYFS, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3 and Children with Special Educational Needs.

We offer a full consultative approach from the very start of visiting your setting and combining ideas to the end process of providing after-care and guarantees.

We adhere to BS EN 1176 AND BS EN 1177 to ensure the safety of all is maintained throughout.

All our materials have been sourced from trusted suppliers. We are SSIP certified and hold public liability insurance up to £10,000,000.

We employ SMSTS qualified site managers, our team members have enhanced DBS checks and hold all correct H&S qualifications.

Our bespoke forest school fire timber canopy designs enables us to create and enhance your outdoor area and the learning of your children. No two designs are ever the same… they are exactly suited to your requirements.

All of our structures are watertight which means during rainy days and difficult weather seasons, children will stay dry and focused.

The hexagonal 6m shelter offers an all year round space away from the elements to enhance outdoor learning.

This product features half cladded sides, open ventilation, a second roof to prevent the rain from entering, fixed internal seating around the perimeter, a fire pit and protective stones around which can either be placed around or concreted around for extra protection.

This fire pit shelter can be used as a forest school shelter as somewhere to toast marshmallows and drink hot chocolate or as a valuable outdoor learning area.

All our products can be completely customisable to your setting by adding full or half canvas sides, fully cladded walls, windows, doors, accessible ramp, fixed seating, log seats, smaller or larger. The possibilities are endless!

All shelters come with FSC certified grade 4 tanalised timber which gives a 15 year manufacturing guarantee against wood rot and insect damage and a 2 year workmanship guarantee and stainless steel fixings to ensure longevity.

All our products (where possible) are pre-assembled to the highest standard in our workshop and inspected before it leaves and then installed within the day to minimise disruption at your setting.

We keep everything in house to ensure the design, manufacturing and installation process is a smooth process.

At Precision Timber Limited we not only manufacture and supply playground equipment, we perform rigorous play park inspection and playground repairs to ensure that play areas provide a reliable and safe level of enjoyment for children.

We know that after a while, with lots of use, they can wear down. Our highest priority is the safety of our customers and the quality we provide.

We proudly offer a fully comprehensive annual play area inspection and maintenance package, which is available for both new and existing playgrounds.

initial

enquiry

From the initial enquiry either via email or phone, introductions are made and we listen to your ideas of what you have in mind.

We arrange a convenient date for a free setting visit.

free site visit

Here we gain a deeper understanding of your needs, goals and your visions and we look at your area and take measurements. We discuss your budget and how you can get the most out of it to achieve the end result and a convenient date for both of us for the work to commence.

You can gain an understanding of our ethos and what our company stands for and whether this aligns with your setting.

in the workshop

Here we begin the process of bringing your products to life and ensuring they are always to the highest standard (whilst having fun along the way!).

back at the office

Here we get started on bringing your visions alive. We either undertake detailed drawings on paper or provide a 3D CAD Design to really visualise the area.

We provide a detailed quote description of proposals and a cost breakdown. We send this over to you and are always on hand to answer any questions you may have.

6.

back on site

With as much minimal and safe disruption as possible, we commence installing your products.

As this area is for the children, we obviously have to involve them! We are always happy to be on hand to answer their inquisitive questions. This is a great learning process to enhance their development and support topics such as ‘People Who Help Us’.

All our staff are DBS checked to assure you of your children’s safeguarding.

7.

signing off

This is THE exciting part for the children! They are finally allowed in their new area to explore and play. Satisfaction is one of our number one priorities, both for yourself and our team.

We ensure you are happy with every part of your transformed area, the children being the main judge!

We take photos (permission granted) and ask you to sign off a document to say you are fully pleased with the area.

ordering materials

To ensure the process will be smooth running, we need to make sure we have the materials in place before the magic begins!

We use Scandinavian FSC Redwood, Playgrade timber and stainless steel fixings to achieve high-quality and durable products to provide timeless play for many years.

8.

aftercare & guarantees

Our process doesn’t end here.

We provide a yearly visit to check your area is still in tip top condition. Should there be any problems, we offer a 12-month workmanship guarantee against all our work (excluding misuse) and a 10-year manufacture guarantee on all FSC timber.

We are always at the end of the phone/email if you do have any questions or concerns.
