Moonlight Songs For Lovers is the third album from The Slow Taste Of Night Air.
All songs recorded live during the full moons of October & December 2022 into the Winter Solstice.
Moonlight Songs For Lovers can be interpreted as a selection of altered dimensions, parallel worlds, astral variations on a theme of love and melancholy. An embrace in the moonlight, romance and sadness, a kiss to savour as stars fall onto soft skin, tears flowing into a cosmic sea. Interpret as you wish or feel inclined, choose a piece of the music and travel into it, or take the long voyage through the entire 8 hour plus experience.

Tracks 1 & 2 were recorded during October Full Moon phase.
Tracks 3--5 comprise of the session over the December Full Moon into the Winter Solstice, an astral travelogue or movement into deeper regions of space. Delta waves at 3.2hz flow into this sector, the modulation of the carrier wave kept quite intense on track 5 to simulate the pulse of Sagittarius A* & the deepfield romantic mysteries of the singularity pulling all this data of our memories, thoughts, feelings into skies that appear to last forever. Always on the verge of our own chandrasekhar limit. We can't let go, our hearts against our own gravity, dreaming of a beautiful supernova, a perfect evolution of the nature of the universe that is elusive at revealing it's secrets.
Are we lovers in another world, in another life?
Lost & falling apart, or entwined together against the waves of astral seas crashing on the lovers rock.
Is there an escape from our minds when we are always alone. Is there life out there, or far beyond simple consciousness.
Are there lovers in other dimensions, breathing unknown to us in parallel worlds, or infinite variations out in the multiverse.
Are we all connected in this way, musical notes chiming on an unseen astral string.
Why do we feel overwhelmed, enchanted or haunted by the slow breath of love, the tears that rain down.
A selfless act of giving love that leaves a deep part of us eternally empty....
Is that how it feels? Do we really give a part of our soul away to help someone through the darkest hours?
An emotion, gravitational pull, the endless event horizon, time slows forever until it becomes inescapable, falling in so deeply.
The later tracks are again the earlier takes, keeping it simple with just the primary synth lines for those who may prefer that style of minimal drifting melancholic space. Some are longer sessions which play out in sequence. These were edited for file size considerations, though they were all recorded live without overdubs (as influenced in part by the methodology of Klaus Wiese). The final track is a short variation single with emphasis more on the dub influence.
Consider this album, perhaps, an ambient take on Lovers Rock.
Primarily, it is the entire process left in there for the listener. That is the process of repeatedly letting go.
An ambiguous multi-dimensional story.
Music and art is therapeutic by nature, and here is everything that we went through.
All the hidden meanings and secrets encoded into the experience can be left as ambiguous mysteries never to be solved.
We are all dreamers in some sense, otherwise life seems pointless and barbed with triggers aimed at turning us away from our true selves.
Moonlight For Lovers asks the simple question:
........when are we?...............
Wishing your dreams begin to merge with reality from the first full moon of this New Year.

moonlight songs for lovers
dreaming together
orbiting infinity
crossing dimensional space
is there love in the multiverse
falling into the maw
of Sagittarius A*
an astral embrace
connected for eternity
raining gentle stars
tears from another world
stranded forever
out here
on lover's rock
ocean waves drift on
into the endless horizon
we chase the feeling
beyond time and space
as we become one
entwined for eternity
kissing moonlight with songs
for lovers that can never die
