Visitors in a space learn to " read " an area by using three-and two-dimensional cues. This research aimed to determine the responses of visitors to the influence of geometry on the legibility at Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC). The relationship between geometry and space legibility can affect visitors' wayfinding. In this study, visitors, including 86 respondents and 8 individuals who participated in a focus group, were surveyed through questionnaires and interviews during daytime. Results show that legibility was moderately and positively correlated with regular geometry, but legibility was negligibly affected by existing geometry. Regression analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and scheme coding of qualitative data suggested that regular geometry used in urban spaces might strongly improve legibility. For urban designers, regular geometry associated with landmarks enhances legibility.

In other words, geometry is a visual language that stems from the worldview of the artist or architect and it leads to the production of a work of art that expresses certain artistic perspectives. At various times in history, the idea of diversification and transformation have been seen in Persian-Islamic architecture and carpet design. In this paper, two goals were attempted. The first goal was to investigate geometric forms in Persian-Islamic architecture and carpet design and the similarities between these two very different art forms. The second goal was to find out the reasons behind the similarities.

Before starting design process, most architecture students do not come to a deep understanding on the works of the earlier architects and they just consider taking an overall look of books, magazines and websites would be sufficient. The present paper aims at presenting an algorithm of analysis of architectural buildings to recognize principles of designing and constructing in which reverse engineering idea has been applied. The method is based upon conducting qualitative interviews with the architectures that were experienced in professional activity and design teaching. The theoretical method of the research is based on reverse engineering and algorithms concepts and theories. The results of the research show that method of algorithm of analysis can be useful for three fields. First, in architecture design process that can be used by architecture students and professional designers. This is achieved through training and mental experience of principles of design processes in exquisite works of architecture. Second, it provides the essence for critics in order to do not suffice to a general look of architectural works and discuss further parameters in their reviews. Third, it facilities categorization of architectural works and the technologies used in them for further research about them.

Besides the climatic condition, the social and cultural patterns of life in various historical periods have been affected on existence of introversion pattern in houses.Research about introverted houses based on Space Syntax theory and trying to discover their genotype is an effective step to understanding the complexities of the socio-spatial model of these types of traditional houses. Three Persian introverted houses were selected by authors as case study. The cases are from the types with one, two and three courtyard called Boroujerdiha, Rasoolian and Forough-oalmalek. The houses are located in the central Iran cities including Kashan, Yazd and Shiraz. Visual Graph and convex map analysis was applied by Depthmap software and obtained data were analyzed for discussion about genotypes of houses. To prove numerical results; inferential statistical methods such as Pearson correlation tests by Spss software were used. In conclusion, visual graph analysis shows all studied houses follow specific patterns. Core integration and control spaces are similar. Also step depths of spaces with same functions are very close to each other. There are direct statistical correlation between integration, control connectivity and step depth of common spaces in all houses. The above mentioned relations can be defined as genotypes in introverted houses.

The city center of Kuala Lumpur (KLCC) was chosen as a case study because this area faces these challenges. In this study, the relationship between geometry and legibility was reviewed using two models that were created base on the literature. The two models were an existing vicinity of KLCC and a hypothetical model that analyzed by Space Syntax. The results were further analyzed using a T-test and the correlations were examined using SPSS. Enhanced integration as a result accessibility was observed. There was also a strong correlation between integration and connectivity in the hypothetical model. According to this simulation study, regular geometry can increase integration, accessibility, intelligibility and legibility in urban spaces.

mind. Generally, humans can control their stress for short periods. In addition, the body has a relationship with
the mind where stress enhances the release of cortisol which affects memory and memory retrieval. There are
solutions to prevent stress and its effects and it is important to investigate stress reduction, especially in new city
developments. This study reviews selected articles related to stress, especially urban stress and ways to prevent
it. After defining what stress is, the effects of stress on the human body and mind were reviewed. Next, ways to
reduce stress based on the importance of nature and nature’s power of restoration were discussed. Finally, the
study investigates the relationship between stress and cognitive function, with the determination that reducing
stress affects viable cognitive function.
