This class is a 12-month program (June 2024-May 2025) that meets each month. You will learn simple, but beautiful embroidery techniques as we explore some of the most stunning and unique wildflowers native to Missouri.

By signing up, you are committing to attend all twelve of the monthly sessions so that you will be able to complete all 15 blocks for an entire quilt.

Nature is waking up! Spring ephemerals are wildflowers that bloom in March and are gone by May. Join a Powder Valley naturalist for a guided hike and learn about these temporary treasures! This hike will take place along the long loop of our Hickory Ridge Trail, which covers 1.2 miles of hilly oak-hickory forest. Please note: The trail is paved, but can still be rough and is very steep. Bring water, dress for the weather, and wear sturdy, close-toed shoes!

Please make sure to register all participants ahead of time, including children.

Join us for a hike at the Nathan and Olive Boone Homestead State Historic Site. We will hike the trails and visit the historic home. Wear comfortable hiking shoes, bring a sack lunch, and water. The hike will be 3 miles and rated easy in difficulty. Ages 18 and up. Registration required.
