Inspire Campaign on content curation & review
[edit]I've recently launched an Inspire Campaign to encourage new ideas focusing on content review and curation in Wikimedia projects. Wikimedia volunteers collaboratively manage vast repositories of knowledge, and we’re looking for your ideas about how to manage that knowledge to make it more meaningful and accessible. We invite you to participate and submit ideas, so please get involved today! The campaign runs until March 28th.
All proposals are welcome - research projects, technical solutions, community organizing and outreach initiatives, or something completely new! Funding is available from the Wikimedia Foundation for projects that need financial support. Constructive feedback on ideas is welcome - your skills and experience can help bring someone else’s project to life. Join us at the Inspire Campaign to improve review and curation tasks so that we can make our content more meaningful and accessible! I JethroBT (WMF) 05:39, 29 February 2016 (UTC)

Thank you for participating in Learning Day, Wikimedia Conference 2016
[edit]
Thank you for engaging at Wikimedia Conference 2016 Learning Days!
[edit]Through June, we’re organizing an Inspire Campaign to encourage and support new ideas focusing on addressing harassment toward Wikimedia contributors. The 2015 Harassment Survey has shown evidence that harassment in various forms - name calling, threats, discrimination, stalking, and impersonation, among others - is pervasive. Available methods and systems to deal with harassment are also considered to be ineffective. These behaviors are clearly harmful, and in addition, many individuals who experience or witness harassment participate less in Wikimedia projects or stop contributing entirely.
Proposals in any language are welcome during the campaign - research projects, technical solutions, community organizing and outreach initiatives, or something completely new! Funding is available from the Wikimedia Foundation for projects that need financial support. Constructive feedback on ideas is appreciated, and collaboration is encouraged - your skills and experience may help bring someone else’s project to life. Join us at the Inspire Campaign so that we can work together to develop ideas around this important and difficult issue. With thanks,

CEE Spring 2016 - prizes
[edit]Hi! I’m writing to you on behalf of Wikimedia Poland to inform you about the reimbursement process regarding CEE Spring 2016.
According to the international rules:
- step 1 Local organizers buy the prizes themselves with their own money and acquire an invoice issued to Wikimedia Polska (Stowarzyszenie Wikimedia Polska ul. Tuwima 95, pok. 15 90-031 Łódź Polska)
- step 2 local organizers send scan of the invoice to one of the international organizers (natalia.szafran@wikimedia.pl or nikola.kalchev@gmail.com) along with a protocol of the process of selection of winners and with a calculation of overall costs. The protocol must include actual names of the winners (the names will not be made public, they will be kept only in documents of Wikimedia Polska). The e-mail should also include data needed to make a bank transfer (bank account number and name of the account owner)
- step 3 Wikimedia Poland will reimburse the money within two weeks after receiving all the documents needed
This way of buying the prizes is strongly advised. In case it is impossible the prizes can be bought by Wikimedia Polska from the suggested online shop. In this case you need to send to one of the international organizers (natalia.szafran@wikimedia.pl or nikola.kalchev@gmail.com) an email with links to the prizes in an online shop, a protocol of the proces of selection of winners (containing their actual names and usernames). After the purchase is done Wikimedia Polska needs to get an email containing some kind of proof that the prizes have reached the winners (postage waybill scan for instance or a scan of a declartion that the prize has been handed over, the declaration must be signed by the winner).
Please keep in mind that whenever possible local coordinators should buy the prizes themselves. Wikimedia Polska will buy them only in those cases when it is absolutely necessary. All documents must be sent to Wikimedia Poland by the end of June.
Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us. Me and Nikola will be happy to guide you through the process and make it as easy as possible. And thank you for being a part of CEE Spring and organizing this awesome project in your community. Magalia (talk) 21:51, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

Pilot Enrollment: Equity Landscape Metrics & Dashboard
[edit]Hi @Ehrlich91:
Thank you for your interest in piloting the Wikimedia Movement Data Landscape dashboard and metrics. Through this small pilot we will be completing pre-beta testing of these new metrics and tool functions. We intend to gather feedback from community stakeholders on the data elements and dashboard functions for improvements before launching an initial public dashboard. In order to proceed, we must ensure that all pilot participants meet each of the eligibility requirements:
- Have an applicable use case during the pilot period (February - March 2022),
- Commit to engage during the pilot period, and
- Agree to sign a data non-disclosure agreement (NDA) for early data access.
If you meet these requirements, you are now invited to next steps for enrolling in the pilot. In order to help us align virtual sessions with your use case interests and to send you the required NDA, we need you to complete a google survey to share your contact details. Use of the data collected by this survey form will be governed by our published privacy statement. Please complete the survey at your earliest convenience, and before the end of day January 23, 2022 to ensure needed turn-around time for the pilot’s start in February. Please also note that we will not be able to associate contact information shared via the google survey with your username we are communicating through here, so we will not be able to know if you have signed up and will switch to contacting pilot participants via the email they share in that survey submission. Thus there will not be further reminders beyond a note at the start of the meta consultation period in February. If you run into any challenges, please message us back, here on your talk page, so that we might assist you. Once again, we thank you for your time and participation. -- NaRay (WMF) (talk) 23:32, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

Please ignore this message if you have already signed up for the consultation. Once again, we thank you for your time and participation. -- NaRay (WMF) (talk) 18:35, 10 February 2022 (UTC)
