Welcome To The Westford Historical Society & Museum
The Westford Museum is near the historic Town Common at 2 Boston Road in Westford, Massachusetts. Our office is at 4 Boston Road. The Museum showcases a diverse collection of artifacts that reflect small-town life. If you’re interested in genealogy, please get in touch with us, as we have excellent resources on many of the old Westford families. We also offer house histories for those curious about historic homes in Westford.
Additionally, we have a collection of Westford Academy yearbooks, photographs of students and teachers, and other memorabilia related to the academy. If you’re searching for a unique gift representing Westford, check out our Museum Store.

Mission
The mission of the Westford Historical Society is to promote the understanding and appreciation of Westford’s unique history to the community. By providing programming that features aspects of Westford residents’ daily lives, activities, and achievements, we strive to expand and enrich our understanding of how our town continues to evolve. We foster an environment of teaching and learning that strengthens our sense of community. We will collect, preserve, and exhibit documents, photographs, objects, and sites historically significant to Westford and encourage outside efforts to do the same.

The office is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm or by appointment.

Take exit 83 from route 495
– From the Southbound exit ramp, turn right onto Boston Road towards Westford Center
– From the Northbound exit ramp, turn left onto Boston Road towards Westford Center
Drive 1 mile to the museum on the right, next to the Parish Center for the Arts. The offices are in the white cottage to the right of the museum. Parking is available in our lot.
