THE BEST ROMANTIC COMEDY I EVER READ.

This novel and manga deserves a spin off anime and a lot of Utaha-s fan were screaming in the finale of the manga.

First of all, the characters and its own development mixed and inspired a lot of readers to follow this series until the end. It is more convenient and popular than the original. Personally, its 10 out of 10 more comparable to read and eventually funny to take close till the end.

10.10 in Enjoyment. It's definitely enjoyable and hilarious to make through.

11.10 in Art. Its character illustrations were so original and more comfortable to ... look and draw in my opinion. It is more cute and utterly amazing to see and read.

So in the end, I'll rate this in perfect score. I admit I'm an Utaha fan and want her to become the number 1 Heroine in this series.

Highly Recommended to be read.

The spin-off feels better than the parent story, and that's already saying something.

Story: 9
The story is very well written. It has its heart-warming moments, and the pace does not ever once feel rushed or dragged out. The premise may sound very simple, just the typical guy somehow gets acquainted to admirable girl, but the reasons behind their motivations that make this story stand out. Especially with the main push not being on their romance or drama, but the common goal between them, of their goals and dreams of writing the novel and ... the anime. It gives the story flavour that other typical romcoms tend to lack. A big difference between this and the parent story is that this is not a harem. Some people may prefer that while other don't, but that's up to personal taste in the end.

Art: 10
Beyond phenomenal. The art is what exactly what you'd expect from a good drama. It looks good. The funny bits are funny, the emotional bits are emotional, and the normal bits aren't stale. The art bring the story to life.

Character: 9
The characters here are all especially well designed. They aren't really based off of your typical character tropes, tho they do have traits that are reminiscent of the generic tropes. They each have their own separate motives and goals, but they all link together. Their chemistry works really well, with their conversations often bouncing off of each other very well. They're also quite relatable internally characters (except like the fame). They each also have their own quirks which make them more enjoyable.

I enjoyed this a lot while reading. I liked the original story, both light novel and anime, but in all honestly I prefer this spin-off. It all just felt really genuine. Definitely would recommend to any romcom lover.

Loved it. It looks like a basic spinoff, but after reading it, it just left a different mark than even the original story. Deserves more recognition.

I wouldn't really consider this manga a romcom, it's way more focused on the inner workings of the light novel and anime industries, romance plays a comparatively minor role.

If I had to describe this manga in a sentence it's about a young light novel writer, Utaha, who is being worked to the bone and is having to deal with corporate greed meddling with her art (also she happens to have a one sided crush on her editor, Tomoya).

There are very few romantic developments and on top of that, as I've already mentioned, they're all extremely one sided. It's not because Tomoya's the dense type of ... MC who's completely oblivious, the opposite actually, he is aware of her feelings, he just chooses to ignore them for the sake of professionalism.

The only reciprocal expression of love in the entire manga is found in the last chapter and not only does it feel forced, it's very underwhelming as well.

I have been fairly critical so far but I don't believe this manga is all that bad, I simply feel the way I do because I was convinced it was a romcom so I expected romance.

However as a manga about the light novel industry it's pretty interesting, although a little shallow in terms of detail. Personally I would've preferred if the author went all in with the light novel industry theme and shed light on this world much more than they did.

So in conclusion, it's a decent-ish portrayal of the light novel industry with some very sparse romance seasoning. If you're looking for a manga that'll make your heart skip a beat this is not it, but if you are curious about how light novels are made and would enjoy a little bit of drama to go along with it then this for you.
