Near-record highs are in the forecast again followed by gusty winds and a temperature drop...
TODAY: Expect mostly sunny skies with daytime temperatures 15+ degrees above normal. Highs will make it to around 90 degrees in Las Vegas this afternoon. The record on this day is 93 degrees set back in 2022. Temperatures will max out in the mid to upper 80s in the west valley & edges of town with low 90s forecast for the central & east valley. Breezes will pick up slightly this afternoon with south winds 5-15 mph and wind gusts up to 20-25 mph.
Air quality is ranked 'good' to 'moderate' for some areas of haze. Pollen levels remain 'very high' for trees with the most common pollens being mulberry, sycamore & pine.
TONIGHT: Skies will be mostly clear this evening with overnight valley lows around 63 degrees. Winds will be out of the southwest 5-15 mph.

A series of disturbances will pass through the region now into the weekend.... Active weather is anticipated across the Pacific Northwest as a potent storm moves in. Severe thunderstorms will be possible in parts of Washington State with large hail, damaging winds and a slight chance of an isolated tornado possible.
Low pressure passing through the Southwest on Thursday will bring wind gusts 30-40 mph across the area with stronger winds up to 60+ mph in northwestern Nevada. High temperatures in the Las Vegas valley will be in the mid 80s on Thursday with daytime temperatures dropping to the mid 70s Friday, a more than 15 degree temperature fall from Wednesday.
Valley highs will stay in the 70s this weekend winds breezes returning on Sunday (10-20 mph) and lingering through the start of next week.
Beyond the 7-day, daytime temperatures appear to stay just below normal in the 70s.
