RiseBoro Community Partnership and Slate Property Group have launched leasing at Baisley Pond Park Residences, a redevelopment project at 143-06 135th Avenue in South Jamaica, Queens. The project involves the conversion of the former JFK Hilton Hotel into 318 affordable apartments, including supportive units for formerly homeless residents. Designed by Aufgang Architects, it is the first hotel-to-housing conversion completed under New York State’s Housing Our Neighbors with Dignity Act (HONDA).

Slate Property Group and RiseBoro Community Partnership have completed the acquisition of the former JFK Hilton Hotel at 144-02 135th Avenue in South Jamaica, Queens, paving the way for a landmark affordable housing project. This initiative marks the first-ever conversion of a former hotel into permanently affordable housing under New York’s Housing Our Neighbors with Dignity Act (HONDA).

Twin Two-Story, Two-Family Houses Coming to 142-07 115th Avenue, South Jamaica

A South Richmond Hills-based corporation has filed applications for twin two-story, two-family houses at 142-07 and 142-09 115th Avenue, in South Jamaica. The buildings will each measure 3,082 square feet. Across both, the apartments should average 1,028 square feet apiece, indicative of units with family-sized configurations. Each house will come with one off-street parking space. Kew Gardens-based Tabriz Group Design is the architect of record. The 6,000-square-foot lot is occupied by a single-story house. Demolition permits were filed October.
