Cider is a type of ale that restores 1 Hitpoint and temporarily boosts Farming by 1 while draining Attack and Strength by 2. It can be obtained through brewing at level 14 Cooking granting 182 experience. It is brewed using 4 apple mush and a pot of ale yeast. During brewing there is a chance to instead create the stronger mature cider.

Upon drinking the cider, the chatbox will state You drink the cider. You feel slightly reinvigorated... ...and slightly dizzy too.

• When comparing ales that bars in Old School RuneScape stock, cider was only in one bar before the addition of the Old School servers. It was and is obtainable from brewing and from buying it from The Esoterican Arms in RuneScape, but only via those two sources; since then, it is currently also available within OSRS in eight other bars.
