Who we are
Charles “Charlie” C. Hale
Chairman and CEO
Charlie Hale is the president of Hale Global. AOL Inc. and Hale Global partnered to spin out Patch in January 2014. For 17 years, Hale Global has been helping talented teams transform software and information organizations through product innovation, operational support, and team-building. Charlie is currently a Director of QL2 Software LLC and RivalWatch LLC. Charlie holds an MBA, with Honors, from Harvard Business School and a BA from the Yale University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He was the Opinion Editor for his high school newspaper, the Milton Measure.
Warren St. John
President
Warren St. John is the President of Patch. He is the author of the national bestsellers "Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer: A Journey into the Heart of Fan Mania" and "Outcasts United: An American Town, a Refugee Team and One Woman's Quest to Make a Difference." A former reporter for the New York Times, he has also written extensively for The New Yorker, the New York Observer, and Wired. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama, attended Columbia University and now lives in New York City.
Kara Seymour
Editor in Chief
Kara Seymour is the Editor in Chief at Patch. She has spent two decades covering community news, working at daily and weekly newspapers in Virginia, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She joined Patch in 2010 as the local editor for the Newtown, PA Patch and moved on to serve as the New Jersey/Pennsylvania regional manager before becoming Editor in Chief. Kara is a James Madison University graduate who lives in Bucks County, PA with her husband and five children.
