State Unveils Blue, Black Support Law Enforcement License Plate
The newly redesigned Support Law Enforcement specialty plate reflects the Blue Lives Matter movement.
TALLAHASSEE, FL — The new specialty license plate supporting Florida law enforcement has a new look that reflects the logo adopted by the national Blue Lives Matter movement supporting law enforcement.
In contrast to the red, white and blue design used since the specialty license plate was approved by the Florida Legislature in 2002, the new Support Law Enforcement license plate is blue and black, the same colors used by the Blue Lives Matter movement.
The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles has not commented on the reason for the license plate redesign, which coincides with nationwide criticism of law enforcement following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis in May and a call to defund law enforcement agencies.
