Police and school officials are investigating possible hazing allegations, which involved a baseball player who was reportedly inappropriately touched by fellow teammates, at Mundelein High School.
Mundelein High School Principal Dr. Alexandria Rios Taylor said the school on Friday received a report of violations of the student code of conduct and athletic code of conduct.

Taylor said school-based and athletic consequences will be applied as outlined in the student handbook if the allegations are found to be true.
“Student safety is always our top priority. The expectation in all of our educational and extracurricular programs is that everyone treats each other with respect and dignity,” Taylor said.
“At this time, the investigation is still active and ongoing. As such, we are not able to comment further at this time,” Taylor added.
Students at the school told Lake and McHenry County Scanner that one of the alleged incidents involved a baseball player who was inappropriately touched by multiple fellow baseball players in a school locker room.
The investigation also reportedly involves other incidents, including student-athletes consuming alcohol while off campus.
The Mundelein Police Department is investigating but the department did not want to provide a statement or release any information when contacted Tuesday.
