Car Fire, Open Burn Keep Bridgewater Fire Crews Busy Friday
The Finderne Fire Department is 100 percent volunteer run and always looking for new members.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — An open burn and a car fire on Friday kept firefighters busy in Finderne.
At 3:43 p.m., Finderne Fire was called to Kims Court for a reported shed on fire. "

Firefighters found an open burn on Union Avenue which was the cause of the smoke.
While putting out the open burn, firefighters were called to Union Avenue near Jackson Street for a vehicle on fire.

The Finderne Fire Department, which covers the southeast section of Bridgewater Township, responds to about 400 calls per year and currently operates three Engines, a Tower Ladder and a Heavy Rescue.
Volunteers are offered complete protective gear, free training, LOSAP (Length of Service Award Programs), a pay per call incentive, a life insurance/disability plan, and an in-house gym.
