Parsippany Named Among 'Best' Places To Live In NJ And America

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Parsippany-Troy Hills was named as one of the best places to live in America and the Garden State for 2023, according to a new set of rankings released by Niche.

Parsippany-Troy Hills Township was ranked as the 87th best place to live in New Jersey out of 641 and the 681st best suburb to live in America out of 8,818.

The "Best Places to Live" rankings include cities, city neighborhoods and suburbs. Niche defines a place as a "non-rural town" with a population of 1,000 or more, including neighborhoods, suburbs and cities. Niche also separately ranked the best cities, neighborhoods and suburbs to live in.

Niche compiles the annual Best Places to Live rankings with data from the U.S. Census Bureau, FBI, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and CDC, as well as millions of resident reviews. Affordability, the local housing market, neighborhood diversity, area public schools, walkability and other factors are all taken into account by the company.

Parsippany-Troy Hills Township received an overall Niche grade of A+. Here’s how Niche graded Parsippany in the following categories:

Parsippany is also ranked as the most diverse community in Morris County, the 94th best place to raise a family out of 641 in New Jersey and the 79th best public schools in suburban towns out of 416.

Niche has released Best Places to Live rankings for nearly a decade, including more than 18,000 communities in its latest iteration. According to Niche, the lists help Americans make key life decisions on where to live and go to school.
