Bay Shore School Officials Investigate Threat Made To High School
The threat was made on social media Wednesday morning.
BAY SHORE, NY - Bay Shore High School warned the community of a potential threat to the building made on social media on Wednesday morning.
In a message on the school's website, officials say they investigated and addressed the threat.
The school found that the threat had "no credibility."

"As per standard protocols, local authorities have been informed about the situation and are currently following up with the school's initial investigation," the message read. "It is always our first priority to maintain the safety and security of Bay Shore's schools. If your child communicates any concern to you, please have them report to an administrator's office so that it may be discussed with them further."
Suffolk Police confirmed that a Bay Shore High School student was transported for evaluation following a social media post that could have been perceived as a threat.

Third Precinct police officers investigated and determined there was no threat.
A local resident posted a photo of the threat that allegedly sparked the investigation on a community Facebook page.
The threat, which appeared to have been posted on Snapchat, read:
when I shoot I won't miss, if u ask for mercy I won't give, I'll just pull the trigger and see you fall, I care for nothing my soul left a long time ago, but that trigger isnt pointed at me so pull the trigger and let my depression leave my body and watch me fall slowly
It is not confirmed if this was the exact threat that launched the investigation Wednesday morning.
