Student Stabbing Puts Benjamin Cardozo High School On Lockdown
Police are searching for the student who slashed a 14-year-old classmate in the head Tuesday morning, the NYPD said.
BAYSIDE, QUEENS — Police placed Benjamin N. Cardozo High School on lockdown in search of a student who slashed a classmate in the head Tuesday morning, police said.
Officers rushed to the Bayside high school after a 8:50 a.m. 911 call reported an assault in the school. When officers arrived, they discovered a 14-year-old student with a wound on the left side of his forehead, cops said.

The teenager was taken to Long Island Jewish Hospital in stable condition.
Officers with the 111th Precinct placed the school on lockdown and combed through the school in search of the suspect, police said.

The suspect is believed to be 12 or 13-year-olds and was last seen wearing a black top and black backpack. Authorities said the victim new his attacker.
