Lindenhurst School District Staff Expands by Three
The District has added a new math coordinator, a new assistant business administrator and special education chairperson.
The Lindenhurst School District staff has expanded, adding a new math coordinator, a new assistant business administrator and special education chairperson.
Trecia Wong is the District's new mathematics coordinator, and she joins Lindenhurst from the North Shore School District where she served as assistant principal at the North Shore Middle School.
Concetta “Connie” Robinson is the District’s new assistant business administrator, and she joins the staff from the North Babylon School District where she served at the executive director for human resources.

Jill M. Carroll is the new Lindenhurst Middle School special education chairperson for the District, and joins the staff from the Wantagh School District where she served as the supervisor of special education - a role in which she monitored all special education operations throughout the District.
Carroll has taken the position left by her predecessor, Paul Walia.

Wong's Background
Wong began her career as a math teacher and team leader at the James Sinnot School in Brooklyn. She also taught at Sewanhaka High School in Elmont and R.M. Finley Middle School in Glen Cove.
She received two master’s degrees from Adelphi University School of Education, one in education administration and technology, and the other in social studies. (with a minor in mathematics).
She also received her Bachelor of Arts in political science and mathematics from Adelphi.
Superintendent Richard Nathan stated, “Mrs. Wong will be an excellent match for the Lindenhurst community. She has outstanding skills, an understanding of quality instruction and believes in supporting all students in learning.”
“It is with great excitement that I am joining the Lindenhurst School District,” said Wong. “I’ve worked as a mathematics teacher/team leader at the high school and middle school level. My high-level professional development has equipped me to be a strong instructional and collaborative leader.”
Robinson's Background
Robinson also held the position of accounting supervisor and district treasurer at North Babylon, prior to serving as executive director. Prior to that she was a business administrator with the East Rockaway Public Schools and South Huntington Public Schools.
She attained her Master of Business Administration in public and business administration from Dowling College. She received her Bachelor of Science in business administration and economics from Empire State College.
“We're excited to have her aboard,” said Dr. Shari Camhi, Lindenhurst’s assistant superintendent for curriculum and personnel. “Her experience and professionalism will be an asset to the Lindenhurst School District.”
Carroll's Background
Prior to working in the Wantagh School District, Carroll was a director and senior administrator at the Henry Viscardi School in Albertson, as well as principal of Medford Avenue Elementary School in the Patchogue-Medford School District.
Carroll received two Master of Science degrees, one in educational administration from the College of New Rochelle and the other in special education from Queens College.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in early childhood/elementary education from Queens College, as well.
“I can offer the district a blend of professional experience and clinical expertise that'll allow me to meet the diverse needs of Lindenhurst students,” said Carroll. “I'll work hard to develop the skills needed to prepare students for the future.”
