Camelbeach, Summer Tubing & More This Summer at Camelback

New Summer Tubing, UTV Tours, Adventure Zone, Camp Camelback & More; Camelbeach Outdoor Waterpark Opens June 11

TANNERSVILLE, Penn. – Camelback Resort is just the ticket for nature lovers, fun seekers and for family and friends who want a memorable summer 2021 escape destination. The 560-acre all-year Pocono Mountains resort, located within two hours from New York City and Philadelphia, is offering new summer adventures including Ultimate Terrain Vehicle Tours, summer tubing, a new Adventure Zone and Camp Camelback for children with a counselor leadership component for young adults. Of course, the favorite adventure experiences will also keep guests happily occupied – Camelbeach Outdoor Water Park, evening campfires, ziplining, TreeTop Course, the Mountain Coaster, Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark and much, much more.


In addition, all 453 guest suites have been recently re-imagined, redecorated, modernized and offer a wide range of layouts making for small and large family and friends luxury living with full kitchens, fireplaces and balconies. To heighten the guest experience, the resort has a new user-friendly app – available on iOS and Android – allowing guests to book their stay, plan their itineraries, arrange for equipment rentals, procure adventure tickets, make dining reservations, reserve poolside cabanas, explore the property and secure real-time information.

To kick off summer, Camelback Resort offers a mid-week Unlimited Mountain Adventures package through June. Guests who book this package will enjoy unlimited access to select adventures at Camelback Mountain Adventures for each registered guest, along with a 200 Arcade credit and unlimited access to Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark. This includes rides on the Double Barrel 1,000-foot Ziplines and the Appalachian Express Mountain Coaster with a 4,500-foot steel track.
The special bundle rate starts at $315; offer available through June 30, 2021; valid for midweek stays from Sunday to Thursday, and for mountain adventures Monday to Friday.

Camelbeach Outdoor Waterpark
Opens June 11 to 13 and June 17 daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The resort’s splash-tastic Camelbeach Waterpark is Pennsylvania’s largest outdoor waterpark – featuring 37 rides, slides and thrilling attractions – the most in the tri-state area. It is highlighted by a wavepool, FlowRider, Vortex, Spin Cycle and dozens of family body and tube slides.
Season passes are on sale now and guests can pre-purchase day tickets and save on admission via the website or the new resort app.

New Summer Tubing
Beginning June 12
Camelback Adventures sports the largest snow tubing park in the country and now offers summer tubing for an exhilarating experience as riders go lightning fast in the sun tubing lanes. The Magic Carpet makes it easy to ride again and again. This attraction is located at Adventure Basecamp next to the Sunbowl Lift.
Duration is one-hour session for single rider only (weight limit of 250 pounds per rider), and closed toe shoes are required.

New Adventure Zone
Opening June 12
Located inside Camelbeach Outdoor Waterpark, the new challenging Adventure Zone offers a Climbing Wall, allowing climbers to choose their own adventure by selecting among three different types of walls and creating unique climbs. Also is a new Euro Bungee experience for arial thrills of flipping, tricking or just plain major jumping.
Climbers and jumpers redeem tickets at Adventure Basecamp then ride the new Sunbowl Lift to Adventure Zone. Two climbs per session. Jumps take four minutes. Must be six or older and at least 40” tall with weight between 40 to 250 pounds to participate. Flyers under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult, and all participants are required to wear closed toe shoes.

New Ultimate Terrain Vehicle (UTV) Tours
Coming in June
These ultimate terrain vehicles have enough power and traction to deliver loads of fun while two to four adventurers navigate the picturesque Pocono mountainscape and trail area. The trail tour is guided by a Camelback Adventure staff member.
Limited availability and early booking recommended. The tours are one hour. There is a mandatory 30-minute training session, and drivers must be 18+ years old with a valid driver’s license.

New Camp Camelback for Children Five to 12 Years Old
Available June 21 through August 20; from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Campers will break into age groups, and all activities, lessons and games are age appropriate. Dragonflies are ages five to six; Fawns are seven to eight; Otters are nine to ten; and Hawks are 11 to 12. Campers will cycle through activities on a weekly basis, including biking, canoeing/kayaking, TreeTop course/ziplining, Mountain Coaster, Camelbeach, Aquatopia, music, arts and crafts, archery and more. Themed weeks include: Red, White & Blue, Superhero Adventure, Conservation Champs, Wild & Weird Science, Spirit Week, Mountain Olympics, among others.

New Ranger in Training Program for Young Adults Ages 13 to 15
Available June 21 through August 20, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Ranger in Training (RIT) leadership program serves as a junior counselor training ground supervised by adult camp counselors. The RITs help guide younger campers through their daily activities while developing leadership skills, problem solving and helping youth development experiences – all while having a lot of fun.
Price is $400 per week.

Return of Camelback Campfires and S’mores Kits
Beginning May 15
Camelback guests can enjoy their own private firepit, relax on Adirondack chairs and take in the majestic mountain views while roasting favorite yummy s’mores outside Trail’s End Pub & Grille. Quick bites are available to accompany seasonal cocktails, craft brews and/or local cider.
Price starts at $100 to reserve a private campfire pit.

More summer fun includes an al fresco movie series for Lodge guests and outdoor fan favorites including ziplines, the fantastic Mountain Coaster, scenic Segway tours and the breathtaking TreeTop Course.
