Ashby Ponds Hosts Father's Day Fishing Tournament

The annual intergenerational event brings together staff and resident families

(Ashburn, Va.) - On Saturday, June 20, Ashby Ponds families enjoyed the community’s Father’s Day Fishing Tournament. The fourth annual fishing tournament took place at Fisherman’s Pond, located on the Ashby Ponds campus. Residents and staff joined together with their families to enjoy great food and fishing at the tournament. A total of 41 participants took part in the event this year with 33 fish being caught and released back into the pond. At the end of the event, Ashby Ponds distributed “Great Sport” awards to all participants, as well as awards for the participants who caught the most fish (five) and the longest fish (24 inches).
