Why does this creation process halt? It's been nearly two months since [[T361085]] was done.

Because the next step would be a new wikis importer importing the content from oldwikisource, and there are only three people in that group, and apparently all three of them are busy with other things.

Apparently some new problem with importing has arisen. More than one wiki's importing has been slowed or delayed because of that.

Hello!
The project namespace of mywikisource is still "Wikisource:" (not localized as mentioned in the main task T361085). I think it was left when the namespace config was moved to T371060. Please review.

Yeah, sorry, that should have been caught. Will deploy a change for that in the UTC late backport window.

The root cause of this process error (which I also made for Betawi Wikipedia, but I caught it myself then) is that the "namespaces" checkbox is overloaded. There are five different process items:

  • Make sure the language has namespace translations for MediaWiki core
  • Make sure the language has namespace translations for Scribunto
  • Make sure the language has namespace translations for ProofreadPage if it's a wikisource
  • Set $wgMetaNamespace in wmf-config repo
  • Add any extra namespace names requested

I assumed it was done when I saw the subtask get closed, even though point four got lost in the shuffle.

Since the entire process is being done by volunteers in their free time (and almost always me because I got guilted into doing it after seeing tasks languish for even longer than the months they languish now), it's each for mistakes to slip in.
