Three years boiled down into a one-minute timelapse video

Philly’s newest museum, the Museum of the American Revolution, opened its doors in Old City in April, nearly three years after breaking ground at 3rd and Chestnut.

Now, a new one-minute timelapse video has been released of the entire build-out, boiling down 34 months of Intech Construction’s work into one minute. Earthcam documented the whole process from June 2014 to April 2017.

This includes the early months, when archeologists carefully excavated more than 80,000 artifacts dating back to pre-Revolutionary times.

One of the most storied artifacts in the museum is George Washington’s tent, which the museum worked for years to restore and recreate. You can watch another timelapse of that tent on the rise here.
