If you’re traveling with your pets, plan ahead. You may need to provide proof of vaccinations or service animal documentation to front desk attendants. Your pets should be leashed at all times in public spaces, and they’re typically not allowed in hotel restaurants, pools or beach areas. Housekeeping usually won’t attend to your room if you have an unsupervised pet inside, so plan a nice long walk or travel with a kennel or crate to restrain your animal.
Hotel pet policies can change without notice, so confirm directly with your hotel to make sure you know what to expect and so hotel staff can plan for your four-legged friend’s stay.
