De acordo com o Decreto nº 6.571/2008, os sistemas de ensino devem matricular os alunos com
deficiência, transtornos globais do desenvolvimento e altas habilidades/superdotação nas
classes comuns do ensino regular e no Atendimento Educacional Especializado (AEE), ofertado
em salas de recursos multifuncionais ou em centros de Atendimento Educacional Especializado
da rede pública ou de instituições comunitárias, confessionais ou filantrópicas sem fins
lucrativos.
