Abstract⎯ In this paper, we propose to use the anisotropic diffusion to filter ADXL202E acceleration sensor signals, used in ve-
hicular navigation systems. Motor vibration noise and small collisions suffered by vehicle degrade the original signal. The goal is
to restore the original signal, eliminating the noise. Usually, a linear filter is used in this task. We show that the anisotropic diffu-
sion is much more effective than linear filters in this application. We also describe an automatic procedure to choose an adequate
parameter of the filter.
Keywords⎯ Anisotropic diffusion, nonlinear filter, acceleration sensor, signal restauration, robust statistics.
gradam o sinal do acelerômetro. O objetivo é restaurar o sinal original, eliminando o ruído. Normalmente, um filtro linear é utili-
zado nesta tarefa.
