Rutherford County PSC Unit 106 Community Service Event The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office PSC Unit 106 volunteered their Friday evening under the lights with the Miracle League of Murfreesboro. Our unit served as buddies to athletes with special needs. This collaboration with one of our community programs was a great way to get out and give back to our community.
September 11th On 9/11, Cadet Unit 910 conducted a tower run in honor of those who past/survived on 9/11 in the Towers. The Cadets completed 2,142 steps, 71 steps over the 110 stories our honorable first responders endured on that tragic day. Cadet Unit 910 completed this in 19:47 [first cadet] and 27:53 [last cadet]. FPD is proud of how much dedication and heart these cadets have in this program and honoring those before us!

Acworth Cadets & Special Olympics Throughout each year, our Cadets participate in events with the Georgia Special Olympics, and I just have to brag on them! I'm incredibly proud of our Cadets for giving up and time such as a Friday night to spend time with these amazing athletes and make a real difference. 2nd Annual Fallen Officer Run The El Paso Police Cadets participated in their 2nd annual run remembering the Fallen Officers. The Cadets made it to the finish line, honoring our officers and building character in our youth. Quitting was not an option and they all finished strong. No one stays behind. Way to go Cadets Unit 2002!

Hoffman Estates IL Awards Ceremony The Ceremony went awesome. We always do it before a board meeting at the Village Hall so all the dignitaries are in attendance. They all love the cadet program! We do a lot of community events. This past year the Cadets put a total of 2853 volunteer hours in. I’ve been coordinating this program (explorers now Cadets) since 2009. I have attached a few photos from the ceremony night. Thank you for your help in making this a great event!
Columbus pays Cadet interns Our Cadet program is a paid internship at our department. Cadets work 35 hours a week and this a direct pathway into our hiring process. Colleton County Sheriff's Office Award Banquet 2022 Unit 843 The Colleton County Sheriff's Office Public Safety Cadet Unit 843 held its 2022 Cadet Award Banquet on November 14, 2022.
What made the 2022 Award Banquet special was 2022 was the first year aligned under Public Safety Cadets. Cadet leaders were promoted with a special pinning ceremony and the Cadet of the Year was recognized.
Defend the Alamo Challenge 2022 The San Antonio Police Department held a Defend the Alamo Challenge between all SAPD PSC Post. They all performed well with West Post taking home first place Trophy. Congratulations!
La Plata, MD Public Safety Cadet Unit 1888 hosted a Historical Law Enforcement Memorabilia Show On Saturday, May 23rd, the La Plata, MD Public Safety Cadet Unit 1888 hosted a Historical Law Enforcement Memorabilia Show at the local Rescue Squad. Active and retired law enforcement and fire-rescue officers and the public from surrounding states participated in the event to share collections and historical information from days past. The Cadets set up an information table and PSC patch collage while handing out brochures, pins and koozies. The Cadets were joined by La Plata Police Chief Carl Schinner, Lead Mentor Sergeant Jason Posey, Mentor Tyjon Johnson, and PSC Director Kent Jefferies.

The cadets brought donuts and homemade cookies to officers for their support, dedication and service to our community. Way to go Cadets!
Fairfax Cadets help with Drug Buy-back Event Capt. Ryan Morgan of the Fairfax County Police Department West Springfield District with public safety cadets at the West Springfield Drug Take Back Day event. In partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration and other county agencies, more than 1,300 pounds of unused and expired over-the-counter and prescription medications were dropped off by community members. The West Springfield District had the highest donation with 306 pounds of medications dropped off.
San Antonio Police Department Bike School PSC members completed a four day bike certification. SAPD Bike Unit did an amazing job teaching bike skills while making memorable experience.
Lewisville Texas Competition June 2022 Lewisville Texas Police Department will be hosting its own "Life on the Beat" Youth
Cadet/Explorer competition on Saturday June 25th through Sunday June 26th in 2022. The competition will be overnight beginning the evening of 6/25/22 and will conclude during the morning on 6/26/22. The competition will cover several realistic scenarios, and will involve being dispatched to various parts of the city throughout the competition. I will be sending out more about the details of the competition to those that are interested in the next few months. We have capped the competition to 10 teams total, so first come, first serve.

Tyler PD hires Cadet to civilian position! Cadet Lt. Judah Wilson was hired as a civilian Public Service Officer in May of this year. Once he completes his degree at UT-Tyler, he plans on taking our civil service test.

Madison WI recruits from PSC At a time when those applying to be police officers is on the decline nationally, the MPD is bucking the trend. Mishicot Cadets compete in first State Competition The Mishicot Public Safety Cadets were in Wisconsin Dells competing against 40 other cadet units from across Wisconsin. Our unit is just under 1 year old and this was our first time at the State Conference. Despite having the "rookie" title, the Cadets performed very well and scored highly on multiple events. The cadets worked well as a team and represented the Village of Mishicot proudly!
