Season 36 Bone Pit (June 2022)
Battle with the bone brothers at the Bone Pit in early summer!
Enter the Bone Pit in the June season. You might not remember the last time you have played in this arena. This is the same arena as Arena 2 at 300 trophies. Although the arena is a reuse, there are plenty of new things that come with this season. 5 brand new emotes, 2 fresh thematic tower skins, and a huge lists of cards that will get boosted. Let’s dive in!
Season 36 begins on Monday, June 6th, 2022. Balance changes will happen in a maintenance after season reset.

Arena
The June season arena will be Bone Pit — yes, that same arena that you used to battle in back in Arena 2 when you’ve reached 300 trophies. It’s the perfect arena for bone brothers!
Tower Skins
There are two tower skins for this season — one from the season pass and the other from the shop.
Bone Pit Tower Skin
The Bone Pit Tower Skin will be available to Pass Royale owners for the June season, collectible at Tier 10.

Giant Skeleton Tower Skin
Thematically related to the Bone Pit, the Giant Skeleton Tower Skin will be available at the shop during the June season. We don’t know if it would be available for purchase with cash or gems yet — but historically, these types of IAP skins are generally purchased with cash.

New Card Art
Giant Skeleton will be one of the stars of the season, and he will be getting a fresh new card art!
The difference is quite subtle — but at a high level, these are the key differences that we can see:
- Lighting. More advanced lighting in the environment gives the character a more sculpted look, accentuating the texture of the hat and the contour of the model.
- Hat Color. The character’s fluffy hat has been given a lighter color, with a light blue shade that blends into cyan accent a little bit better.
- Bone Color. The skeleton bones now have a whiter and cooler apperance. The old render uses a warmer and off-white color and a different shade for his teeth. Here his teeth and his body uses the same shade of white. Overall, it feels like a stronger character.
- Background. Compared to the old nondescript background, this new background has a nice orange contrast against the blue coolish figure.
Overall, we feel that this is a solid upgrade. What do you think?
New 3D Renders
Several characters received new 3D renders during the maintenance on June 3rd: Bomb Tower, Giant Skeleton, Tombstone, Graveyard and Goblin Hut.
Emotes
There will be five new emotes this season.
Emote: Giant Skeleton Clueless (Pass Royale)
A confused Giant Skeleton scratching his head. Collectable at Tier 10 from your season pass.
Emote: Giant Skeleton Loose Jaw (Shop)
Giant Skeleton’s jaw kept on dropping. Is his jaw loose or did you play something that surprised him?
Emote: Goblin Bone Ritual (Shop)
Goblin drumming! This is my favorite emote of the entire season. I love drumming! 🥁
Emote: Skeleton Dancing (Challenge)
Skeleton’s got dance moves. You can win this from a Giant Skeleton Rage Challenge in the season.
Emote: Gob-arian (Challenge)
Last but not least, there’s a Gob-arian emote — a Goblin pretending to be a Barbarian… get it?!
If this concept sounded familiar, that’s because you have seen this before in an animated shorted posted by Clash Royale from last year. It’s hilarious and it still gets me to laugh out loud even though I’ve watched it for more than 20 times now! 😂
After being kicked out by the Red King, the Gob-arian now wants to take his revent by assembling a Goblin Army to store the castle. More info in the challenge section below. 👇

Boosted Cards
Six cards will be boosted in consecutive weeks.
Giant Skeleton
You won’t miss the new cart art since it will be front and center at the boosted card panel on top of all your cards on Week 1.
Goblins, Spear Goblins, Goblin Giant
All three cards will get boosted together on Week 2.
Skeleton Dragons
It’s easy to forget that we’ve got flying skulls in Clash Royale! They will get boosted on Week 3.
Skeleton Army
Skarmy is everyone’s favorite Epic back in Arena 2, and has recently seen a strong revival even in higher arenas ever since Skeleton King became meta. They will get boosted on Week 4.
Challenges and Global Tournaments
June 6-12: Giant Skeleton Rage Challenge
Kick off the new season with a challenge surrounding the boosted Giant Skeleton — you’ll win the Dancing Skeleton emote when you complete it. Get the Pass Royale for unlimited continues!
In this challenge, Giant Skeleton is permanently raged.
June 10-14: Royal Tournament
Play in the first Global Tournament of the season in Normal mode. Brush up your deck knowledge by using our Deck Search and start practicing in Classic or Grand Challenges! If you don’t need all the advanced filtering, you can also get a quick top 50 decks from our GC Portal.
June 14-20: Gob-arian’s Revenge
Challenge yourself with this 2-chain event, where you’ll have a chance to win another special emote! It’s fairly rare to have 2 challenge emotes, making this one of the best season to get the pass (with 2 challenge emotes and the one that’s in the pass, that’s 3 new guaranteed emotes for this month)
You’ll build your deck from a choice of Spells, Skeletons and Goblins-themed cards. Chain 1 is a practice challenge where you can’t lose. Chain 2 has 8 wins where you’ll win the special emote at the end.
June 21-26: Skeleton Dragon’s Reign of Fire
Skeleton Dragons fly in from both King Towers, to fire up the Arena!
June 25-29: 2x Elixir Tournament
The second global tournament of the season will be in Double Elixir mode. If you don’t play challenges regularly but can consistently get to 12 wins or more in global tournaments, spending 500 gems here is one of the best ways to spend your gems to progress your account!
