The drafting bench can be found in Howl's Workshop area of the Stormguard Citadel Dig Site. The workshop is accessible with level 95 Archaeology. A restored Stormguard gerege is required to gain entrance to the workshop via the gravitational core. The drafting bench can be used to create blueprints for ancient Invention using torn blueprint fragments.

Drafting bench is behind the pillar.

Searching the drafting bench yields 50 blueprint fragments; this can only be done once.

Studying the bench unlocks the Back to the Drawing Board research, which must be completed before any blueprints can be made.
